Scott Saves the Day! A large group of us were in town this past weekend for a wedding. A number of us relied highly on the shuttle to get around town. Scott or "Paster Scott" as he drives a church van, was there every time we needed him. But the icing on the cake was post-wedding at nearly midnight Scott drove us to pick up a late-night pizza that SAVED us from a wicked hangover the following morning! This property is not only in a great location but has an awesome team to back it up. Be sure take a ride with Scott if you make it to KC.

Tired Holiday Inn in a good location I will start with the positives. The hotel is located in a good location walking distance to restaurants and stores (and other stuff normally open in a non-covid era) and has free, covered parking! The bed was very comfortable, with nice sheets and nice thick towels. I was also comfortable with the Covid procedures in place (masks required, single use pens, limited contact with guests). Another positive was that the lounge was open for take out, so we could have a drink. Now the negatives. The rooms are very tired and could really use a remodel. Our air-conditioner thermostat was broken (it stayed at 58 the whole time, so I guess if it's broken, that is the way you want it), the internet was super slow and the TV was very old with only a few channels. Oh, and there was not coffee at 7am on a Saturday (though the restaurant staff very nicely went to the kitchen to get me coffee). They accept pets and we had a room close to the door outside, but the fee was $50, which I think was high. My final thoughts - not the best Holiday Inn experience we have had, but was good enough for a one night stay.

Very pleasant stay with secure parking garage My wife and I stayed here for just a Saturday night on a trip to Colorado. I liked the parking garage that was at basement level, supposedly secure as well. Due to the Covid restrictions the hotel seemed deserted. We were on the third floor, near the elevator. I was a bit miffed that there was a loud and noisy group in the room next to us. I don't know how many were staying but there were 6 or 7 in the hallway going into the room that evening. Very noisy until after 11 pm. I wish with such a low census that they would have spaced the guests out more for a bit more peace and quiet. There was no microwave in our room so with very limited choices for dinner, I had to make a couple trips to the lobby snack area where there was one microwave. At times there wasn't even a host at the lobby desk but some very nice man (maybe maintenance?) brought us some coffee singles up to our room when I asked him. They didn't really have anything out for grab and go breakfast items the next morning and I only saw one other couple in the lobby before we checked out. The room was very clean, although i thought the bed extremely hard. It would have been so much better with even a thin pad on the mattress. My wife liked it fine, however.

It was okay This property was kind of weird, especially where to park, enter the hotel, etc. Hotel was old and outdsted and there were barking dogs in the rooms as we walked by. Probably would not return. Front desk was courteous and friendly as we guests

Great location The hotel is is in a great location. It has a shuttle to union station and then you can take the streetcar to the power and light district (all free). It is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the plaza. The gentleman that checked us in Friday night was fantastic and had a great personality! We visited the bar both nights and the bartender, Bryan, was the best. I didn’t really know what I wanted and so he made me his own specially drink that was better than the $13 drink that I had just drank downtown. He is part of the reason we will pick this hotel again!
