Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area

Below Average Super 8 Carpets clearly haven’t been cleaned. Lamp had a short and sparked when plugging things in. Staff seemed overwhelmed.

worst ever Worst business ever. They refused to honor a reservation made last November with a credit card on it. They wanted to greatly inflate the price for April 8 2024. This is a breach of contract. Do not book here. We drove 2000 miles to visit. Stay away from this place.

Dishonest I made reservations in August 2023 so I could see the solar eclipse of April 2024, more than six months ahead of time. Exactly 60 days before my reservation I received three emails and a phone message stating that this Super 8 could not honor my reservation. When I called I could not get a clear reason why my reservation could not be honored at the price I had reserved and I would have to pay $30 more per night. After more than half an hour of pushing for a reason (It was like a Seinfeld episode!), I finally got the manager to admit there was an “event in the area.” When I asked him if he was referring to the eclipse, he finally admitted that was the event. I then told him that the eclipse was the reason I made the reservations more than six months prior and that if he did not know about events happening in his own area that was his fault for not doing his homework, not mine, and he should honor the reservation. He would not. But at this late date there was nothing available in the Buffalo area for the eclipse. So I called corporate office to complain. Corporate put myself and the manager on separate phone lines and the best they would do for me was give me points for some future visit to a Super 8. In short, this Super 8 saw a chance to gouge me for more money simply because they could. This contradicts the entire concept of making a reservation at a set price. I canceled my reservation and wound up choosing a Hilton in a city outside of the totality pathway and will be driving into the totality for the eclipse. And after the way I was treated, I would never do business with this hotel. And, also, considering the way I was treated by corporate, I will avoid any Super 8 in the future.

Refund or discount I should receive a discount or refund for finding old food in my room and roaches too I killed about 2 or 3 roaches and who knows how many more the beds could have been bigger and softer and more pillows but other than that it’s was a good stay thank you for having me

Avoid This hotel is nestled right beside a train that goes by every hour it's about 10 ft away from the building so it shakes also the free breakfast they give is hardly a breakfast there's annoyingly only one entrance to a long building so if you're at the end you have to walk through every time you can exit but they do not let you enter
