Hyatt Vacation Club at Windward Pointe, Key West

Very disappointed We traveled to Florida with our son in October 2024 and this hotel was supposed to be one of our last stays in Florida. Unfortunately, we had to evacuate due to the life-threatening Hurricane Milton. Despite the Governor of Florida advising against nonessential travel, this hotel and the Hyatt group refused to cancel our stay and refund the money paid. We had to call several times because the hotel was trying to buy time. The manager was available after 3 days of trying. All other hotels we booked in Florida (5 different stays) canceled and refunded the booked reservations. Very disappointed with Hyatt's customer service.

Strange noises from the roof, mixed feeling overall The good. The size of the room, the beautiful ocean views, the large balcony, walking distance to Smathers Beach, and literally next door to the airport. Handy washer and dryer, relatively clean rooms. Extra towels and coffee were delivered to our door quickly. The not so good. We weren’t told there was an elevator initially, so my poor husband had to drag a 50lb suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. We later discovered the elevator did go all the way up and we just needed to walk. Definitely were not told about that. What drove me absolutely nuts was the noise coming from the roof. This was not the roofing work, which I was aware of. My husband thinks it was the AC condensers, and it was extremely loud every night from each bedroom, and we had a 3rd floor corner room so this was not people on the roof at midnight and 5am. Ironically, the noise was not present during the day. I slept poorly every night. The hotel was far from Duval St. and the action so you have to be okay with that. Jacuzzi not working, no on site convenience store. The biggest disappointment was that they could not accommodate a later checkout to 12 or 1, even when we offered to pay. 11 was appreciated but considering our flight ended up being delayed, waiting 7 hours at the most barren airport I’ve ever seen was just exhausting and soured the trip. I loved key west, but I wouldn’t go back to this property. Lots of timeshare folks. Don’t fall into the trap of the pitch.

Visita a Key West He hecho muchos reviews de lugares visitados;pero este hotel sin lugar a dudas a superado todas mis expectativas primero no era una habitacion era una casa,perfectamente acondicionada con todo lo que una familia pueda necesitar,en la cocina completamemte equipada y cuando digo esto digo que hasta bandejas en el horno para hacer pizas o asados,las habitaciónes mas que limpias estaban impecables,en todos los lugares,la vista preciosa ,la piscina y los jardines maravillosos y justo al frente un malecon para caminar y romancear qué me traslado a casa en un abrir y cerrar de ojos,los empleados todos muy amables. Recomiendo el lugar como un cinco estrellas plus,es magnifico I have done many reviews of places visited; but this hotel without a doubt has exceeded all my expectations. First, it was not a room, it was a house, perfectly equipped with everything a family could need, with a fully equipped kitchen and when I say this I say There were even trays in the oven to make pizzas or roasts, the rooms were more than clean, spotless, everywhere, the view was beautiful, the pool and the gardens were wonderful and right in front there was a seaside to walk and romance, so I moved back home to Havana In the blink of an eye, the employees are all very friendly. I recommend the place as a five-star plus, it is magnificent

Key West Family Vacay We liked how it was located away from downtown and sits right off the water and beach area. It was great that he had a two bedroom two bath suite, which was great in the kids having their own space. The pool and amenities were very clean and updated. Also the staff were very nice and professional. We have found our Key West hotel for years to come.

Don't miss it Have been going to Hyatt at Windward Pointe for 20 years! The Hyatt Corporation knows how to run a destination property. When going to a place like Key West, it is not so much the property where you will be staying, but rather, is it a well-run refuge to get re-energized after a busy day or night in a destination area. Windward Pointe is on the less raucous side of Key West with spacious units and a great pool. Perfect for resting up after enjoying the sites and some of the best restaurants in Florida. Even though the property is now over 20 years old, Hyatt has kept up with keeping it fresh and clean. As with all Hyatt properties, the supervisors and front desk folks are rotated to other properties to avoid getting stale. Will keep returning till I can't handle the travel any more.
