Nope. Never Again. The hotel is convenient to Dahlgren base as well as shopping and restaurants. However, they are undergoing a "complete renovation" Also, however, that doesn't excuse the condition of the room I was given (for 9 nights). If it would have been a one night stay I could have overlooked most of the issues, but it wasn't, so I didn't. Initial: room reeked of mildew. I combatted this by using housekeeping's odor eliminator spray (I used a lot) and kept the a/c fan on the entire time I was in the room and that seemed to at least keep the smell knocked down. The bathroom was basically a disaster. The toilet was unacceptable: small, cracks and marks on the seat, way low to the ground. Grouting/sealing at the base was discolored and peeling away. Shower head was unacceptable. Non-maneuverable, poor water dispersion, poor water pressure. No stopper/plug in the bathroom sink. Window was unacceptable. Almost like it was stained or something. There were what appeared to be nicotine stains (drips) on the wall across from the bathroom. Carpet had spots/stains. Door was drafty. The smoke detector was literally hanging by wires from the ceiling. Service was hit or miss. I was told upon check-in that my room would only be serviced every 3 days. Which I thought was odd, but whatever. Third day rolls around (Saturday) I had the "do not disturb" sign out (I forgot); housekeeping didn't knock, didn't ask, just slid a note under the door saying (in essence) since I had the do not disturb sign on the door, they "didn't disturb" So it was 5 days until I got fresh towels. It took a day or more extra until my trash was taken out and the bed was made for the first time. I voiced all my complaints (about the condition) to the hotel the day after I checked in when they texted me and asked me about my stay. Hotel said they would follow up with me, that never happened. Contacted Choice Hotels corporate and told them everything (and sent photos) and that seems also be a dead-end. All in all this was a most unpleasant and unacceptable experience. I would not recommend this hotel, I would not recommend the Choice brand (which encompasses a lot of different hotel brands) and I definitely would not repeat.

Terrible I don't recommend staying here at all. Unless you wanna be ripped off!! I was charged a $250 smoking fee and the room was not smoked in. None if us even smoke!! I'm not the only person this has happened to. My friend also got a room the same night I did and was charged the same thing. There is also other reviews where it's happened to alot of people. Think twice before staying here!! A one night stay here cost me $380 and I'm still fighting to get my $250 back.

RUNNNNN I wish I had checked the reviews BEFORE I had checked in to this location. WORST hotel EVER. heck were do I begin. I checked into the room early and yes the general manager approved of this. Upon check In the front desk lady had no clue. First card I gave her she said it was denied. Second card the same thing. I knew i had money on my card so I called my bank. The bank verified it. She had entered the expiration in wrong. We got thru that part. Walking to our room we smelled smoke and once I got to my room it was even more smoke. I was about to call the front desk but my friend who checked in her room said look at your card info to see if you were charged correctly. Long story short we charged 186.00 plus 50. We went down and fussed about this for about 20 mins. She said that it was because of early check in but would drop off. Completely forgot about the smoke. Next thing you know there is 186.00, 136.00 and 50.00 charge. Same thing. It will drop off. The NEXT morning I look and NOW there is a 200.00. I contacted the general manager and he said there was a charge for Marijuana fee. I HAVE NEVER SMOKED MARIJUANA a day in my life. Next he gets his housekeeping manager on the phone and she said it was cigarette smoke. WHICH ONE IS IT??? You trust and believe I will be fighting this. Also they are under renovation. The whole hotel is HORRIBLE. RUNNNN

Never again for any reason! One night was more than enough. If this place is renovated they skipped the room we stayed in. See the pictures, the toilet is old and stained, rust and faulty caulking around the toilet and tub, the carpet was so stained and filthy, i slept in my clothes.
