Would not stay again We came into town for a friend's Navy retirement ceremony. This hotel was recommended to us for our stay. We booked a suite so paid more than a basic room. The shower head was from the 1980's and barely worked. They had a child's birthday party in the business room right next to ours. They were slamming the door for hours and running up and down the hall making all sorts of noise making people's dogs bark. It was far from a relaxing stay. We had to leave because it was so loud and annoying. I would not suggest this hotel as a getaway for sure. I was very disappointed and will not stay again.

Damp, Dirty and Gross! Filthy! I wouldn’t even step into the tub! Scum ring all around the sides of the tub, bottom was dirty, floor was dirty and corners filled with dirt. The tub faucet was filthy and all soap scum. Dehydrator was full when I got there. Had it emptied and ran it until I went to sleep. Had to turn it off because it was so loud. Needed to run it first thing in the morning, humidity was high again. The shelf that the refrigerator sits on, on the front right was reduced to saw dust and not cleaned out! Just a pile of particleboard shavings. I Do Not recommend this place! All around gross!

READ REVIEWS READ REVIEWS-I thought if I called ahead it would make a difference in them checking the room for cleanliness. NOPE! All responses to complaints are the same. Nothing has changed. Dirty, mold, etc.etc.etc. Got what I paid for. Breakfast was not ready in the morning either. Clerk not at desk when we tried to check out.

Pretty bad Not what you see in the pictures. Welcoming lobby, but very dirty hotel. Pool area was disgusting. Trash all around, hot tub is pure green and looks like it has never had chemicals. Hotel breakfast was pretty bad, even for complimentary. Wouldn’t stay here again

Standards are low After a full day a travel, to say I was upset with the standards of the rooms is an understatement, I was appalled. I checked in just after 8 pm, my room was not clean and found a roach on the bed, went downstairs and the attendant upgraded me to a suite which also lacked cleanliness but neither the deadbolt or safety latch worked, go downstairs again, get moved to a third room and exact same issues. I asked the attendant to call the manager and if I could speak to her, it is now 9:21, over an hour of hopping room to room. The attendant handed me the phone and she was obviously annoyed when I explained the situation and her response was its old hotel what did I expect?! I told most of the issues I seen in the 3 rooms I was sent to were poor cleaning standards and safety. I’m a solo female traveler, it is not unreasonable to want your doors to lock properly. The manager, Diane then asked me what do I want her to do? I stated she was the manager what is she going to do? Diane proceeded to cuss me out over the phone and said she was canceling the reservation and to get off her property! I operate a motel & suites in the Outer Banks, I would never treat a guest so abhorrently. To the owners, I get it, it’s an aged property but most of your issues come down to poor standards and extremely poor management.
