Spectacular holiday family vacation A true 'unplug' locations for couples and families. Not a complaint to be had. Excellent options for swimming, snorkeling (right on site), surfing, biking, walking, hitting golf balls or just chilling out.... Food was excellent and easy to access, room was beautiful and options for other excursions/activities abundant. Staff were beyond lovely. Weather sunny and 82 each day.... it was recommended by a friend as 'the' choice for a perfect location - and I've already thanked her! Our boys (15 & 17) say best vacation ever??! Fabulous memories were made.

Mauna Lani @ Christmas 2024 Nice location, but room service items and linen bags sat outside our rooms all afternoon. Very unappealing. Only one tiny bathroom to support Beach, Surf Shack and Pool area. It was 200 yds. From the beach and 100 yds from Surf Shack. They could do a lot better. Also review your bill in detail. Our supposed free Buffet was charged 4 of 7 days. Finally all 4 rooms were charged a Valet fee, yet we only had one car. That is just not right

The Perfect Honeymoon Getaway My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon here and if I had to pick one word to describe the resort and island, it would be magical. Everyone we know who has stayed there will tell you the exact same thing. The atmosphere was beautiful and already decorated for Christmas. Our room was so luxurious and spacious. We especially enjoyed the balcony each day for Hawaii's breathtaking sunrise and sunset! The concierge team was also so helpful as we planned our stay before arriving. Special thank you to Keoni for helping us create a balance of relaxation and adventure! We enjoyed a beach front cabana on our first day and it was the perfect start to our trip after traveling. The next day my husband played golf, and I had no complaints riding along because the course was so beautiful. (Lava rock and water views on every hole!) We also did a sunrise canoe (highly recommend) where local employees share stories and help you embrace and understand their culture. Each day we enjoyed complimentary sunrise yoga, complimentary bikes, sat at a different (beautiful) pool /beach location, walked around the fishponds, and shopped in every store (great selections of skincare, snacks, souvenirs and clothing for all ages). We also did an offsite manta ray moonlight snorkel one night (recommended by the concierge), and it was awesome! For dining, we ate almost every meal on site because we simply didn't want to (or need to) leave the resort. Each restaurant was delicious and offered a carefully crafted dining experience. Definitely some of the best meals we have ever experienced! Our first dinner was a Halani, and our waiter helped us select courses and wine that paired perfectly together. It was amazing! We dined here for the breakfast buffet every morning - so peaceful, delicious and convenient. For our last night we made reservations for sunset at the Canoe House, and it was a top highlight of our entire trip! We are so glad that we chose the Mauna Lani for our honeymoon. Already planning our next trip back!

Disappointed by the service Disappointed We have explored various destinations around the world, and when we do get the chance to spend time as a family, we prefer to indulge in luxury accommodations. Our recent stay at Mauna Lani from December 18th to 23rd left us feeling somewhat let down. Fifteen years ago, we visited Mauna Lani before it became part of the Auberge collection. We cherished our previous experience and the exceptional service we received, so we were eager to return. While the hotel's grounds are undoubtedly stunning, the overall luxury and personalized service we remembered were noticeably missing. Pros: - Gorgeous property - Exceptional beach staff, with special thanks to Paola and Precious - Friendly and cheerful breakfast servers Cons: - No beach bags provided for guests - Absence of shower caps in the bathrooms - Insufficient toiletries in the rooms - Mold and stains found in the showers - Lack of toilet seat covers in public restrooms - Disrespectful and condescending attitude from a concierge staff member - Spa prices are exorbitant, even by Four Seasons standards, and the experience falls short - Breakfast buffet is pricey with a limited selection - Bar closes at 10:00 PM, and the hotel offers no nightlife options -activities not advertised very well Overall, while the location has its charm, we were disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and the level of service we had anticipated.
