Excellent Rooms are lovely and a great way and place to cap a phenomenal eating experience. Rooms very well appointed. Super comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. Very quiet and spacious areas. Great choice if coming to restaurant

Great accomodation for Inter Scaldes diners Wonderful hotel. Very spacious, clean, nice decor. Tasty breakfast. Very convenient after dining at InterScaldes. Surroundings are peaceful, and their garden is beautiful. A must for those who will dine at InterScaldes.

beautiful the suites are nicely renovated. they offer plenty of space the whole family (2 little girls). breakfast is delicious and is served in a nice room close to the suites. we enjoyed the great weather with sitting and strolling in the nice garden.

Large room with pretty gardens We stayed one night here in May 2018, in room 9. Inter Scaldes has a set of rooms to serve the guests of the restaurant, which gained three Michelin stars in the 2018 guide. The rooms are in a thatched building just next to the main house, alongside some very pretty gardens. Our room was very large, with a lounge and bedroom area and a huge bathroom, as well as a little balcony where you could sit out and overlook the gardens. The restaurant has an attractive terrace where you can have drinks before dinner. There is wifi but it is very slow - I measured it at 0.5 MBps on download, and even slower on upload, so this is not the place to stream movies. The breakfast was particularly impressive. I have spent a great deal of time in the Netherlands over the years, and breakfast there is usually a perfunctory few slices of processed cheese and ham with some yoghurt or a glass of milk. Here there was home-smoked salmon, a wide array of pastries, charcuterie, fruit, eggs made to order, with fruit juices pressed to order from fresh fruit. This was a fine breakfast by any standards; in the Netherlands it passes for a miracle.
To reach Inter Scaldes you can either take a train from Rotterdam or from Antwerp. Be aware that the train station of Kruiningen is tiny, and there is no taxi rank, but the hotel can order you a cab to pick you up once you know which train you are on. The staff at the hotel were great.

Top - worth the detour The restaurant, the hotel, the service : all is top at Inter Scaldes. We enjoy it each time. Great fish prepared in a smart way. Beautiful classic setting and the lady owner knows what it takes to make you feel like royal guests. We hope the owners continue running the restaurant this way. While the restaurant is a little drive, it is finally not that far from Antwerp by car (half hour) and does not have its equal in terms of quality of food and service.
