A risky place don't recommend for now Risky! Sketchy guests. Zero security. too much theft. lots of guys running around in hoodies. Avoid this place until they improve. It seems to be a virtual "thug palace". Open and obvious drug and prostitution activity Too much activity at all hours of the night. Too many guests hanging out near doorways asking for rides and/or money. We briefly stay here while visiting family but never again. Loud constant incessant thundering booming thumping annoying gangster style rap from car stereos and boom boxes in rooms. High levels of noise and disturbances all night -especially bad from 12pm to 4 Am. Kind of scary in some areas- Poor exterior lighting. A significant number of recent releasees from Angola State pen staying at location. The property recently changed over from Extended stay America who let the place deteriorate and go down. It's an old building constructed in the 70s- incredibly thin walls ugly interiors and filthy carpets that have not been changed out since the place was built. Carpets are dirty and have not been professionally cleaned in years. full of stains and pet waste. The furniture is awful and looks like salvation army rejects. The building is unsound and has the structural integrity of a wooden tree house. Way thin walls and floors. There is NO noise attenuation. You literally hear everything next door and outside. Endless barking dogs- way too many aggressive pit bulls Seems like every guest has a loud pain in the neck shelter pet or pit bull half breed. Bring your pepper spray because you will most likely have one lunge at you as happened to us. The hotel has literally turned into a dog kennel- it's a nuisance to those who need to get rest and want peace and quite. Too much emphasis placed on catering/pandering to dog owners at the expense of other paying guests. They need to hold guests accountable for their noisy/nuisance pets and for idiotic disruptive behavior which they don't do. We recall one woman who had four dogs in her room- unacceptable. Pet dander fleas and roaches in many rooms. Perhaps the new manager can turn the place around but the owners need to become involved. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation, better security and better pet and noise policies. Bring your earplugs and earmuffs if you want to sleep or even rest. Thank God we were able to get reservation in baton rouge at Marriot- Pay more but it's better than Lafayette.

Sketchy all around Worse than public housing. Sketchy creatures abound. Not worth the cheap price. Bed is like sleeping on a board. Floors not swept. People hanging around in the parking lot. At least hot water in the shower works. TV channels are glitchy if that pablum matters to you.

Front Desk Employee - Horrible Service I'm giving this hotel a one-star only become the manager and his assistant manager are great. The front desk is great with the exception of one female worker that is bipolar, evil, and ugly on the in/outside. This female employee would purposely lock the door next to the handicapped parking and hide my mail. She would tell all the employees and guests business every and anyone. I learned from her that one of the housekeepers was addicted to drugs and to put cameras in my room. Smokers hang out in front of the hotel to find out what you drive and get into your business and try and force their nasty cooking on you. Beware and don't stay at this place! Run and run fast!!!

Not a nice place- manager is diffic My wife and I stayed here recently in October on the 3rd floor. It was a lousy stay. A poor guest experience. The hotel is not a nice place. Our room -as are many others- was infested with large cockroaches. Many of them were in the bed. this hotel has a roach and rodent infestation. It was downright scary. The manager was no help. He argues with the guests and won't do anything about complaints. He never calls pest control. If you ask to change rooms it's nope no can do- even though they always have plenty of empty rooms- because not many people stay there. There is no security at night. Any an all noise complaints are ignored. This is often typical of extended stay america- they ignore customer feedback- are ambivalent towards customer retention and customer sentiment. Manager and staff are difficult to deal with- one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed at.

FULL OF ROACHES, BED BUGS, AND PROSTITUTION. I've never had a worse experience in my life from just all three of the hotel managers. They will scream and holler at you, banging on your door for weekly payment at 10:30 am when check out it is 11, even if you've been there 2.5 months. First two rooms had sewage backed up into shower and they refused to move me even though I had nowhere to use the bathroom overnight. My car was vandalized in the parking lot bc there is NO CAMERAS outside nor in the hallways. The front desk clerk herself told me she caught bed bugs from here bc she's the one washing the sheets and towels. The cleaning ladies I've only seen 5 times NEVER to clean my room, ONLY to ask if I'm staying. I've seen police there 3 times arresting people. People let there huge dogs crap on the side door stoop and was left there for days. The worst customer service process through corporate. I've complained several times they say they will get back within 3 days and NEVER DO. Your better off at Woodsprings across the road. I'm just finding out about them and am moving there currently until closing on my new home.
