Dinner is Salad, coleslaw, corn bread, fried chicken , ribs, mash potatoes, mac and cheese and beans all you can eat just tell the server when you do not want anymore or ask him to bring your favorite sides again. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.. Buy your tickets in advance three show times to choose from. Far from Family Friendly Currently staying here and it’s easily one of the worst camping experiences I’ve had. The facilities are beautiful however the campsites in the 2000 loop which is designated for tent/pop up campers are extremely close together with no privacy. Our site was next to a family with a dog and many young children. The dog barked well past 10 o’clock the first night and the children were running around screaming at the top of their lungs the second. The scent of marijuana was also notably present every night. When the dog was barking at midnight I attempted to look for a number to report the disturbance and was unsuccessful. With numerous empty sites on this loop right now I’m wondering why they chose to place families next to each other when they could’ve spread it out. People drive recklessly on the golf carts at all hours, yelling profanity, and squealing tires. There seems to be plenty of staff present during the day, I’m not sure where they are at night or what kind of security protocols they have. I expected a family friendly campground and this is far from it. Another thing to consider, which I hadn’t when booking, is the fireworks. On nights we tried to go to bed early we were woken up by the sound of the MK fireworks. Which I realize I should have anticipated.

Geatly connected to the parks It is a nice, green site. The site is very big. A free bus service takes you around. Magic Kingdom can be reached by boat. Other parks are connected by buses from the outpost which works pretty well. The site has a pool, but more for smaller kids. There is table tennis, an electronic games room and there are other games to play. If you stay longer, you can rent fishing equipment, bikes, canoes and golf carts. The shops sell Disney merchandise and essential grocery (expensive). You can as well find restaurants. If you wish, you can to go to evening entertainment for kids which we did not go to. We focused on going to the parks early. The individual RV spots are not very big, but shady. The washroom&toilet is ok. Very friendly staff.

Save your hard earned money and go to Camp Margaritaville instead Dear Fort Wilderness Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some feedback regarding our recent stay at Fort Wilderness. We were very excited about our camping trip; however, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience. I had initially intended to leave a positive review, but due to the numerous problems we faced, it is difficult to do so. This trip was a graduation present for my son, and unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations, essentially ruining what was supposed to be a special occasion. Many aspects of our stay did not meet the advertised standards, and it has left us questioning whether we would return to this property or recommend it to others. The issues we encountered include: 1. **Refillable Cups**: We purchased a $24 refillable cup, but the ice machines were not functioning, which was very inconvenient as well as frustrating. Why did I pay such. High price for something that doesn’t work? 2. **Electric Bikes**: We were disappointed to discover that electric bikes are not permitted, only manual bikes. Additionally, the website does not clearly state that golf carts are generally sold out, leaving guests with limited transportation options unless they use the buses or walk. 3. **Pool Seating**: Many guests reserve pool chairs with towels without using them, leaving others without seating. This practice should be monitored by staff to ensure all paying guests can enjoy the pool amenities. 4. **High Food Prices**: The cost of food items, such as $11.99 for a slice of pizza, is excessively high. 5. **Fishing Areas**: The designated fishing areas are limited to two small spots, both of which are in direct sunlight. This makes it challenging for families with young children to enjoy this activity comfortably. It also makes zero sense when there are an abundance of shaded spots that fishing is possible. 6. **Chipmunk Show**: The seating arrangement for the Chipmunk Show is problematic. Children are required to sit in the bleachers far from the stage, which causes them to become upset because they cannot see the characters, disrupting the experience for everyone. 7. **Playgrounds**: The playgrounds are not shaded, making them uncomfortable for children to use during the day. 8. **Pool Restrictions**: Guests are not allowed to jump into the pool or sit on the edge to watch their children, yet there is often no available seating due to reserved chairs. This creates a stressful environment for parents with young children. Given these experiences, it is hard for me to consider returning to Fort Wilderness. This is particularly disappointing because we have never encountered such issues at other Disney properties. The standards here did not meet the usual Disney quality, and it is clear that improvements are needed.  We had high hopes for this trip and believed that Disney would provide a memorable and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We may have been better off choosing a different destination, such as Universal properties, where it seems that children can have more fun and things are as advertised. I hope Disney will take these concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure future guests have a better experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Don't waste your money First we have stayed at Fort Wilderness many times over the years however this year it was dissappointing and we will never be back. We had requested the dog loop area we have 2 dogs and were told that would not be a problem but upon arrival was told the 800 loop was closed so we would have to choose another loop. We chose the 700 loop but because this was a down grade and they were busy it would be easier for them if we took the 600 loop. We found the restaurant which supposedly had just been renovated a huge dissappoint. It used to be an excellent place to dine with friendly helpful staff and is now the exact opposite with rude and unfriendly staff. The entire 10 days we stayed were extremely overpriced, with many areas fenced off almost instutional but mostly just not friendly and definitely not the happiest place on earth.
