La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Denver Southwest Lakewood

Nothing fancy The stay was ok. Ventilation in the room was horrible, it felt damp if the air conditioning wasn’t on. If you want a good breakfast this is not the place. Otherwise everything is ok.

Great stay with helpful and friendly staff! We were visiting our cousin in Littleton and booking this hotel was just ideal. We stayed here three nights. Five stars for getting just what we needed: clean, roomy, new, bright and comfortable., at a VERY reasonable price. The breakfast was adequate, but the last two mornings when they had big groups of youths running and banging into guests without any respect or consideration was bothering. Besides this disappointment all was well. We'll be using this chain again.

Nice hotel not far from downtown Denver I spent five nights at La Quinta Southwest Lakewood while on vacation in Denver. It is located about 15-20 minutes from downtown Denver. My room was quiet and comfortable and everything worked as it should except the TV. On my first night I was unable to get a picture and was told there were no available rooms to switch to. On the second night I was offered a room next to the elevator and ice machine but I declined because of expected noise. On the morning of the third day I was told I could switch rooms and receive a partial refund for the inconvenience. I was planning to do that until I got a phone call saying that they had replaced the TV in my room and I would not have to move after all. The new TV worked perfectly for the last three nights but the promised partial refund has not materialized yet. This was not a major problem and I think they did the best they could to accommodate me, but they shouldn't have promised a partial refund and then not delivered it. My room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable, there was a nice desk and work area, and there was a comfortable chair for relaxing while watching TV. The bathroom was spacious and I especially appreciated the large counter, which had more than enough room for all my toiletries. There was no housekeeping service. Although I was told I could request it once during my stay I didn't bother. I skipped the breakfast as it seemed very minimal. There is a Denny's and a Mexican Restaurant very close to the hotel and plenty of other places to eat not too far away. The staff was friendly. I requested a quiet room in advance of my visit and that was exactly what I got. The hotel was my home away from home during my time in Denver and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Disappointing breakfast Room was fine and clean. Biggest issue was breakfast. I went down at 730 or so and there was no coffee, a mess at the batter for waffles and no scrambled eggs, bread, pastry, yogurt or anything except some boiled eggs. I left and came back at 0830 on my way out and there was coffee and some adds but it was very disappointing. Gave up and went to McDonalds for something with protein. On top of it, I had a free room and got charged. They promised to reverse it but I had to call and ask for it. Glad I caught it.

Room cleanliness Rooms are in need of updating. Wanted to use room phone for quick checkout,,,it was very dirty and I refused to continue to use. No daily maid service; therefore no resupply of snap and no coffee refilled daily. By the 5th day, trash cans were filled in room. Maid service should do basic housekeeping services.
