Very good stay at this Pet Friendly HAMPTON INN I was very hesitant to book this location during my recent visit to Lancaster. After reading several subpar reviews about the quality of the hotel and traffic noise from the road, I came very close to booking the Hampton Inn in Mount Joy, which is a bit further away. However, after careful consideration, I decided to take the chance and book this location on Greenfield Road. The first positive I have is that this is a "pet-friendly" hotel. I know that irks a lot of people but for those who travel with their dog, these hotels are a necessity and I am thankful Hilton welcomes them. As a responsible dog owner, I am very conscious of my rooming neighbors and made certain that mine remained well-behaved. Kudos to the property for providing a dog walking area on the side of the hotel complete with waste bags and disposal. I found that to be a nice touch. As for the hotel itself: As someone who regularly stays at Hampton Inn, I found this to be an average to very good property. While there is nothing particularly special about it, I found the lobby and room to be very clean. There is a large pool and patio in the back. The included breakfast was very good and included a waffle machine, bagels, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, and fruit. The breakfast area was well maintained and even when the area was filled at the peak time of the morning, the selections were refilled. Coffee is available at all times of the day. Online check-in was fantastic. Got to pick my room. We arrived a little early and were allowed to check in. I am certain this is not normal policy, but very thankful to the front desk for allowing it. WiFi in the room worked great. Nice selection of TV channels. Absolutely no noise from the busy road out front, though it was a Sunday evening stay. In all, no complaints whatsoever -- and I certainly didn't observe any of the problems that some of these reviews touch upon.

Double charged for my stay Beware of their charges for rooms. They charged me twice on my Mastercard for the same night. I called them and let them know they would need to remove the duplicate charge. They said there was no proof I actually stayed there. What a bizarre experience. How can you charge someone twice if they didn’t stay? Finally I was able to have a staff member confirm that I stayed at the hotel. They did finally remove the duplicate charge, but what a hassle.

Great location The hotel was very nice. I had to ask about closet space. I didn’t know it was behind the drapes. Once they told me all was good. Staff very friendly and coffee was excellent. I absolutely loved the area to walk in. I kept finding more parks. One evening I got in over 7,000 steps. I would highly recommend this property and if we come back to the area we will for sure stay there.

Hampton does it again Very clean and quiet. Good night's sleep. Nice breakfast and common areas. Friendly staff. Good location for our roadtrip. We usually have a great stay at Hampton Inns and find their service consistent. Would use again, on another trip for sure.

It will meet your basic needs The hotel is showing its age and the room was not the cleanest (or the dirtiest). It was not clear if the sheets on the pull out sofa bed had been changed as we found hair and there was something on the sheet. The pool was closed when we check in but when we check out it looked to be open again. I might stay here again but I am not opposed to using another hotel. It is about 7 minutes to Dutch Wonderland, which is why we stayed here. The breakfast was ok. The microwave was broken and there were a lot of people there for the breakfast. The coffee pretty bad. Fresh, but bad.
