Good Red Rock “base camp” Nice quiet place away from the downtown madness and a good base camp for outdoor recreation west of LV - Red Rock, Valley of Fire, Mt Charleston, etc. Like many places, they are short of housekeeping staff but in 2023, if you take stars away for that reason, you should travel more because it’s happening everywhere.

Stay Away Where do I begin? The room was dirty, with stains on the floor and the couch. The mirrors were not wiped correctly leaving streaks, one light above the mirror was out, the toilet was below a standard size, and tears on the couch along with the stains and no support probably because they seem to be 10 years old or more, stains on the lamp in the main room, the TV in the bedroom did not work and MOST of all Mosquitoes. The first we killed by count 10, the second day 13. They kept reappearing and because of this we did not shower the second day. When we checked out the clerk did not seem to care.

One star would be one too many for this hotel This is a great place to stay if you enjoy the smell of marijuana, which I do not, so to say my stay at this hotel was unpleasant would be a gross understatement. The smell of pot in the rooms is very frequent, but what was really upsetting was the attitude of the person at the front desk when I complained: she rudely informed me that there was nothing that she could do about it. I don't know who decided this is a 3-star hotel, because I think 2-stars would be overly generous. The staff at this hotel is completely incompetent, rude, and clueless; I'm guessing there isn't any kind of training program. Needless to say I will never stay at this hotel again, and my advice to others is if you want 1-star quality lodging, look elsewhere for less money. In addition, I would like to echo what others have been writing about misleading and disingenuous amenities that are listed as being present but are not. Know if you book at this hotel there are no amenities, not even housekeeping service unless you are there for a long stay. And I'm sure the manager is going to write their usual response "oh, I'm so sorry you did not enjoy your stay blah blah blah..."; don't fall for more disingenuousness on the part of management. They don't care how unpleasant your stay was and intend to do nothing to improve the quality of the hotel.

Forget the promised and paid for breakfast. There is no breakfast. Nothing. Next time will they have no pillows? do they know that they do not offer ny breakfast? they sell the rooms with breakfast..but no. come on, Sonesta! Get the facts right and reduce the price accorsingly. It’s not like your customers won’t find out that you save the coffee and some toast. I for one will not be back.

BUYER BEWARE....YOU MAY NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. "The quadruple room's kitchenette, which features a refrigerator and a tea and coffee maker, is available for cooking and storing food. The quadruple room has a balcony. The unit offers 2 beds This is what I paid for, and alas, NO KITCHENTTE FOR COOKING AND STORING FOOD........just a mini fridge and microwave I had to unplug in order to connect my HDMI/PC.....also, NO BALCONY, just a window looking out at Famous Dave's.....the biggest problem though was when I made a mistake in connecting to the wifi/internet, the front desk would not reboot the system so I could start over from scratch, no one from maintenance on could help, and they would not provide the 24-hour 1-800 number that would have solved the whole problem. My roommate was moved 3 times to what was supposed to be the proper room. I have stayed at several Sonestas around the country and this one was the worst by far. No recommendations here.
