A decent budget friendly lodging experience at Excalibur This is a no frills hotel. I stayed at the Resort tower and my room was on the 22nd floor. The overall experience was decent. The check in was quick and the staff was friendly. The location of the hotel is good, located at the south end of the strip and attached by a casino owned tram service to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. New York New York is not far either. You can cross a pedestrian bridge from there to MGM grand and then you are close to other hotels and attractions on the strip. The room was okay. The hotel is bit dated. The wall paper was peeling off at some places. One gripe was the room had no microwave and coffee maker. I think that is a must for every hotel. The A/C seems to be struggling to keep the room cool. The amenities are non existent. Some warehouse quality liquid soap and shampoo. No conditioner. The consumed items were not replaced. The best part of the hotel was the location that is accessible to several other casinos. The cost of food is exorbitantly high. I don't recall paying $25 for a hamburger at Johnny Rockettes or Pizza for $40 at Pizza hut at any other location. It is like they have their own pricing model... Overall, I think it is okay to stay here if you want a basic lodging experience. Be prepared to shell out a $45 resort fee per night plus tax, which basically gets you nothing, other than WiFi.

Outdated hotel The hotel needs updating for sure but if you don’t spend a lot of time in your room and just need a place to sleep, then this is that kind of hotel.

Great hotel stay but be careful in the sun. This is our second time staying here. The hotel is fine, has everything you need. Is clean and staff are all great! The pool is very relaxing and safe, however, be aware there is no shade and you have to pay for umbrellas. In the summer heat, that is very tough. Don’t go to Dicks, it is not good at all, the Tap Sports bar is excellent. Only a short walk to downtown.
