Nice affordable hotel on Fremont Street w/ great pool! Myself and a group of friends do an annual trip to Las Vegas and we we typically rotate each year from staying on the strip to staying on Fremont Street. So this year we decided to give Golden Nugget a shot. First of all, it was the most reasonably priced hotel in my opinion, especially for being right on Fremont. We had 2 rooms in the Carson Tower and my room in the Gold Tower. The rooms were spacious and clean. Granted the rooms were outdated and are in need of updating , BUT lets be honest when visiting Las Vegas you pretty much just need somewhere to sleep. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. One of the best highlights of staying at the Golden Nugget is the amazing pool. Its good sized and has a giant saltwater aquarium with different aquatic life including sharks and stingrays in the center of it, so you can literally swim right up to the glass and be face to face with a shark. It was enjoyable and relaxing, with that being said either get there early or later in the day because mid day the pool is packed, which is no big shocker. I only went between 6 and 8pm and the pool area was not nearly as busy. They even had a DJ set up poolside which was fun. They also have a giant hot tub which was nice BUT very warm for my liking. Inside of the Nugget you will find shopping, bars, restaurants and even a candy shop. It was also nice to have a Chick-Fil-A for a late night snack and Starbucks for some morning coffee. All in all I enjoyed my stay at the Golden Nugget and would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable option that's no frills, clean and comfortable with great access to Fremont! I would stay there again.

Location and pool make this a great choice Great location, the rooms are big but spacious We got water every day which was nice. But online it said you had coffee in the room we had upgraded to a Carson suite and this was not the case. There is a Starbucks on site near our tower so it was ok, but obviously added cost. No fridge either. The pool is fab but if you want beds need to get there early or wait around later in the day for one to come free, The shark tank is fab the slide is super fun. The location is great for fremont street so we got around every where there easily. Really glad we did a couple of nights here would recommend very clean and tidy around the hotel.

Disappointed We were moved to an upgrade. I would not stay here again. This was too expensive and the pictures show what you get. We stayed in the Gold Tower. Besides needing to be remodeled the staff were not curt and surely. Loved Saltgrass restaurant this was the only saving grace.

Great place and location Stayed in the rush tower on the quietest side room. It wasn't too loud. Room had ear plugs. Comfortable and roomy stay on 17th floor. Received the best out come on slots but the casino always won. We had dinner/lunch at the Saltgrass restaurant

Shayla saved the day for our Mother’s Day trip! First impression set the tone but ended up turning into a great experience. Checked in Friday the 9th after 3 at self serve kiosks with the assistance of Raquel. Rude dismissive and condescending, she assured us our room had a keurig and a fridge after PAYING for an upgrade though signs behind front desk said free upgrades , free early check in , which we also ended up being charged for. Our room had no keurig no fridge and the showers was rusted and cracked in terrible condition. This room with the bathroom in this condition should not be rented out to anyone. We went back down to the front desk later that night and spoke to Shayla who saved the day. She told us to come back the next day, we were moved from the 5th floor to the 17th floor with a gorgeous view. Quiet , beds were great, and this room had the keurig and a fridge we were looking for for. We were there for a week and everything was great . I hope management recognizes Shayla is the best or the front desk team , Raquel the absolute worst . Restaurants were good pool great casino fun and the location was perfect .
