Better gambling experience than the Strip This is a review for the casino only, not the hotel which I didn't stay at. My favorite casino, but I'm a bit biased being from Detroit. Great downtown vibe that I prefer for gambling over the Strip. Sit down at a table and before you can throw your first best a waitress is already there asking if you want a drink (can't find that on the Strip). And they come back quick with your order too. Dealers (all ladies, all attractive and, uhm, nicely dressed), usually are friendly. Blackjack table minimums got down to $15 on a Sunday night, but probably dipped lower later in the evening. Just a fun, relaxed vibe for gambling that I can't find on the Strip.

Awful. Awful. Awful. Avoid. First (and now last) time staying at the D. Normally, we are frequent Circa or Venetian visitors. Were given a room closer to Fremont but not warned by the front desk staff of the excessive noise. Fail. Came into the room, safe was locked and we had to call to have someone open it. Fail. Tried to calm down to front desk, concierge, housekeeping and got perpetual busy tone signals. Fail. Tried calling through the main line and was on hold for over 10 minutes so I hung up. Fail. Awful experience all around and we already made a reservation to get the F*** out of her and to Circa for the rest of our weekend. Can’t stomach another day here.

The "D"issapointment Pure garbage. My stay over the 4th of July was unfulfilling, incomprehensible, and downright tacky. To get a comp room is one thing, but to get incompotent service is another. Imagine going to your room and the first item of business is to call the front desk because your damn tv is not working? Imagine you on vacation celebrating your anniversary and your view is the top of a roof overlooking nothing, drastically differrent from your request? The manager Paulo Gutierrez is a complete embasil who has no clue how to run a hotel. 3 star hotel my rear end. This is a game of spades...Two and a possible. Chase the African American manager and Daniel the guy who fixed our bootleg tv were the only bright spots. My fiance and I are the heroes here, enduring a stay at the D. Dissapointing, disgusted, and dismayed. We are determined and dedicated not to ever stay here again. I give the D Hotel, the grade that it rightfully deserves. It's a D. Buyer beware. Stay anywhere else if you want a vacation. Go someplace where you won't have to work and have them fix hotel things. Go to a hotel where the manager has a functioning brain unlike Paulo Gutierrez and the phone rep Jody who really needs a class in ethics. Go to a place where you are not just thrown into a comp room and left abandoned. Go anywhere but the D. The D is for destruction and they nearly ruined our anniversary!

It’s a great place to play craps This was my first time staying at this property. But, I travel to Vegas a few times a year. I've seen really good and really bad hotels. This place isn't that bad, people just have high expectations for a bargain price. I stayed a Friday and Saturday for about $230 all in, even for Fremont that's cheap! I love that there is a coffee shop and a 24/7 mini mart next to the guest elevators. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the rooms are. Yes you can hear the Fremont experience from the window, but there wasn't any guests yelling in the hallway or blasting music in their room like other places l've stayed. The room is pretty basic, no fancy devices or amenities. The bed was really firm and supportive. The air conditioner is old so it was louder than I would like, but the room was ice cold which is great! The bathroom was spacious and pretty well appointed. The walk in shower with the rainfall shower head is a nice touch. The hotel has a small pool downstairs, but the big draw is that you get two passes a day to stadium swim at Circa. If you do go to circa for the pool, it's kind of far and you should go early before it's too crowded. The D still offers free Valet which is rare these days. One of the best things about this place was the casino. If you like to gamble it's great. The table mínimums are pretty low and the drink service is fast and friendly. This stay wasn't perfect, but it was far from terrible. I will definitely stay here again.

Had a great time The hotel was nice and clean The only complaint was the noise from Freemont street. Til 2 in the morning loud music. The bacon nation inside the D was very reasonably priced
