Charming place to stay in Lecce. Charming hotel right opposite the church of Santa Chiara. Rooms are very bright and clean and spacious. Breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely, with plenty of choice to suit all travellers. The staff were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. A great location for wandering the streets of Lecce, even if it was 42 degrees! Would certainly recommend this hotel, or stay again if were to travel through Lecce. A great base to travel through southern Italy.

Reserve a “superior” not a “standard” room This is a lovely modern hotel in a great location but you need to be careful what you reserve. Forget the “standard” rooms, which have no windows unless they are opaque skylights or face a wall. “Superior” rooms are the normal ones that have windows with views that look over this beautiful town. Our first standard room here (305) not only had just skylights but looked thru locked glass doors onto a hot tub we couldn’t use. Only one electrical outlet and no luggage racks (staff quickly brought us a multi-plug and a chair for luggage), the shower door was off the top hinge, and the safe didn’t work. We requested another room but they couldn’t give us one until the next day. The new room, 107, was smaller but had a big window (that looked onto nothing but i fear what may be what they describe on booking.com as “an inner courtyard view”). The staff said simply that if we wanted a real window we should have reserved a superior not standard room. 107 had more electrical outlets, bedside tables, and everything worked so it was fine besides being a bit cramped. Other than knowing that standard means sub-standard, all else was nice. Staff parks and brings you your car; the breakfast buffet on the top floor looking over the city is beautifully done with many choices; a staircase leads from there to a small rooftop terrazza for relaxing; and the staff is very helpful and professional.

A little luxury in a great location in Lecce 10-15 minute walk from station (or a short taxi ride) gets you to this hotel in the old town. Good size rooms, rooftop breakfast room / bar, small spa (sauna, pool, gym) we didn’t get around to using), …. Good wifi, comfortable beds, not warm enough to need the airco, friendly staff ….. basically everything as it should be. Plenty of restaurants close by. Perfect for a stay in Lecce, would recommend. (Maybe no ‘wow’ factor for the fifth TripAdvisor blob).

Such a disappointment Such a disappointment, after so many lovely hotels in Italy. The rooms are tiny and we had a choice of a room with only skylights or a view of a wall. The bed cover was stained, the fridge was dirty inside, and the walls were marked and grubby. There is a jacuzzi next to the breakfast tables which is so bizarre. This hotel has 4 stars but I have no idea why.
