Mostly good some flaws The hotel itself is beautiful (lobby and rooms) with a cool design, the beds are comfortable enough. Breakfast is not included ($12/person/day). We had strange interactions with the staff but nothing rude or vulgar— just the staff between food and front desk just not being on the same page/not acting very professionally. The pool and hot tub are in an open part of the lobby so the sound travels really clearly to your room so sleeping in or early bedtime or naps are difficult. Our room had an adjoining room and the people next to us had kids who kept jiggling our door handle and the sound from their room of kids yelling and playing was very loud as if it were in our room. The floors are vinyl so sound definitely echoes. Housekeeping is only every 3 days. Undecided if we’d come back or recommend for these reasons.

They gave my son who is allergic to peanuts peanut cereal. And no body cared. I hadn’t posted about this because we’ve been hoping to hear back from the hotel regarding this incident. But during a recent stay at Radisson Hotel Lenexa, Overland Park, the breakfast buffet had a cereal labeled as cocoa Krispies. As you can see in the picture, this is the wrong cereal. My son has never had cocoa crispies and did not know what to look for so he trusted the label. The cereal appears to be Reese’s puffs as Robbie had a peanut reaction. The reaction caused swelling and itchiness in his throat, but he did not go into anaphylaxis. We were very lucky and thankful for that. However, the staff at the hotel did not care at all that they’re negligence caused this reaction and could have hospitalized Robbie. When I commented on it to the person in charge of the buffet, at first, they said that it did not happen. Finally, they acknowledged there was a problem when Phil insisted they remove the cereal from the buffet. At no point during Robbie‘s reaction did anyone from the hotel speak to us, apologize, show any kind of compassion at all. From what I understand, if there hadn’t been a label, it would’ve been incumbent on us to inquire if the food was safe. However, they mislabeled the food. It is directly their fault that he had the reaction. It is the grace of God that’s some thing worse didn’t happen. We still have not heard back from the hotel, despite Phil calling the manager last week. It is as if they are trying to erase what their negligence did to my son. If you have food, allergies, do not eat at the breakfast buffet at the Radisson in Lenexa Overland Park. But truthfully, I would just recommend not going there at all. Feel free to share this with others who travel, especially those with food allergies

Bad experience Main elevator was out of service. The ice machine on our floor was not working. Walls are thin, people in next room was extremely loud. Had to contact front desk several times to complain. Would not recommend this hotel. Radisson hotels used to be great places to stay, not anymore.

Do Not Stay Here This hotel should be condemned. The pool is shut down by the city, elevator is broken, ice machines do not work, locks on doors are broken, toilets leak, the gym is very hot, minimal amenities in the rooms, floors in rooms were dirty. Homeless or potentially drug users in the parking lots. The front staff is horribly rude and do not care about guest experience. SWAT team came to our hotel looking for a criminal and when I reported strange activity in the parking lot the front desk could care less. We were travelling with a girls softball team and no one felt safe. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Terrible every step of the way, AWFUL employees TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Terrible experience AWFUL customer service, horrible every step of the way!! No accountibility no staff with knowledge. The worst experience ever. Left two belongings in room when checking out called 10 min later asked to have items at front desk Id be back within a few hours, gave my charger back but stole my shoes, wait their story was threw them in the trash because there were holes and mold on them, have pictures to prove thats a damn lie. The front desk girl threatend to call cops on me even though I never yelled, cussed, or threatend her. I called police for her. Police came said stories are the same civil matter unless the staff stole the shoes got police report called next day guy hung up on me went in person and was told it doesnt matter if its 5 min after check out they have no liability for my personal belongings they threw in trash "supposedly" threw in trash more likely stole to keep. Tried calling customer service to ask for protocol policy or procedure about what is done when guest leave personal property in room girl couldnt get an answer after 20 mintues called guest relations filed complaint, called today left message sent email no response How does staff not have access to intranet or policies and procedures or even have ability to contact a superior to answer questions they dont know the answer to. People do not value jobs these days have no idea how to have good customer service and would rather keep passing the buck then help someone. I told the guy instead of hanging up on me you could have taken my number and called me back before the end of your shift thats bare minimum customer service. No call back no email no apology no initiative. Piss poor job. If your first instinct is to threaten the cops you shouldnt be in customer service specifically when someone hasnt even had any kind of an over reaction And also to Sean who has 25 years of experience but isnt a manager, I can see why. We always stay at Marriot properties they were all booked this was a total mistake 1of the only rooms in the area left and I see why Next night stayed at a Courtyard while checking in she goes can I have your number in case you leave anything behind in the room (thats an example of quality service, Raddison staff should take note Also asked my friend who is an AGM for a marriott property they bag personal property and keep for 90 days Oh and they even pay the shipping to return items guests leave behind (Never settle for poor customer service, even if its the only room left in the city DONT STAY AT RADDISON LENEXA OVERLAND PARK Not a single valuable employee! Oh and fyi the shoes were near the first bed in the room the large bag I put all of our trash in was near the end of the desk so you wouldnt possibly mistake the shoes for trash. I am apolled at this situation it shows no logic, if I accidentally left my charger dont you think I accidentally left the shoes as well, why wouldnt you just take both items to the front desk? There is no common sense or logic behind throwing away someones shoes. I know this type of thing happens enough to have a lost and found or some kind of procedure because accidents happen and people forget things. I believe the male housekeeper thought hmm if I wash these shoes and polish them they will look brand new, there was actually nothing wrong with the shoes they were worn but definitely not something anyone with sense would have thrown away. I have tried giving this hotel and the staff grace and have tried giving them multiple chances to make right this wrong and it just seems its impossible to even reach management and the front desk staff want no part of anything. I hope no one makes the mistake we did and stays at this hotel, it doesnt matter if its the only hotel left. Dont do it!!!! I wish I had the girls name I was told it was in the police report which can take 7-10 days to be available because Id love to publicly shame her. The employees I had the expwrience with dont even deserve to have a job let alone a jon in customer service. Worst experience, read reviews!
