Stay Elsewhere. There are many lodging options in the Myrtle Beach area so definitely don’t stay here. The staff don’t enforce their own rules by letting dogs in the breakfast area which is a clear violation of health codes. They let people with dogs stay on upper floors. No weight restrictions. Did not get any rest due to barking. The building is in need of major refurbishment. Not worth the price paid. Priority Club member for over 40 years and not treated well.

Good breakfast, noisy doors. It has been a few years since staying here so thought an updated review was in order. Our 1st floor Room was comfortable but a bit noisy since it is in a busy hallway. A sign in the hallway calling for quiet may have helped to remind guests that this is a place to SLEEP. The constant room doors slamming was also irritating and it seemed nobody even tried to hold their door so it would close gently. A hotel stay is often affected by the courtesy of the other guests. This was no exception, but I believe that the hotel could do some work on the doors so they wouldn't slam so loudly. Also, the hotel is pet-friendly, so your experience may be affected by that. The free breakfast was good with a great selection of eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, Chobani yogurt, fruit, pastries, and DIY pancakes. Sad that the hard working ladies keeping everything clean and stocked often had an empty tip jar. We were not bothered by any road noise, which was nice. The restaurant next door, Clark's, is quite nice and seems to fill up. Across the street, Sunny side has a huge breakfast bar and also serves breakfast and lunch items off the menu (it closes at 2 so go early). It is very close, but best to drive as the road is very busy. It was nice to walk around the marina on the harbor walk. Amber, who works at the front desk is a gem. Give her a raise.

Great Stay & Wonderful Staff We stayed at this hotel the first night at Myrtle Beach because we had our dog with us and they accept dogs. It was only $25 for the dog to stay with us. The staff when we arrived and for other requests were fantastic. Very friendly and extremely helpful. One of the best staffs I’ve worked with at the many HIE hotels that I’ve stayed at for both personal and business. The hotel was extremely well kept. The outside, lobby, and rooms were extremely clean. The AC was spot on in the lobby and room. It was needed badly while we visited as the temperature was near 100 and the heat index was over 100. The breakfast the next morning was also very good. They had good eggs and sausage links. It is understandable, but always miss biscuits and gravy. Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Myrtle Beach. Might not be the best hotel if you want to hang on the beach a lot as it is not beach front and I’m not sure exactly what the best way to get beach access is.

Bed bugs beware If you want bed bug bites all over you stay in room #202, my husband has had a severe allergic reaction to bed bug bites, ears, neck, shoulders, legs, back.....pet room was not clean, dirty bedding which was changed , room reeked of piss and mold. Was told since we had a legit service animal that we had to stay in an animal room. A service animal is allowed in any hotel even those that don't allow animals so that was a lie. Ruined my husband's birthday as he has suffered with a severe bed bug outbreak shortly after coming back home. It takes up to 14 days in some people. Bites started out small then got bigger. He was mainly on the couch which I think had bed bugs, animal lice, body lice or something on it. Never stayed in a dirtier hotel as in little river. Absolutely disgusted.
