Old California Gem in the Heart of Brentwood We needed a convenient place to stay for an overnighter, and The Brentwood Inn was the perfect place. Booked short notice during the week and got an excellent rate. Convenient, short drive to restaurants and coffee shops. The room had a vaulted ceiling with a skylight, which made the room feel spacious. It's right on Sunset, so during the day there's a lot of traffic, but with the (double-paned?) windows closed, it was amazingly quiet. Plenty quiet at night too--comfortable bed...slept solidly. Staff was friendly and super-efficient, so checkin-in and check-out was smooth. They are apparently closing for upgrade renovations June thru October. Can't wait to stay again once they reopen at the end of the year. Definitely recommend!

Breakfast is no longer enjoyable. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years and always enjoyed it. However it is undergoing some renovation right now, with most rooms closed. I believe the whole place is closing from July to October for the final renovation before re-opening. The rooms are compact but neat and tidy, and the but the wear-and-tear is clear to see. This should be fixed after renovations. My biggest complain is the dramatic reduction in the quality of breakfast offered. I see complaints about this going back to December 2023 so I don't think it is anything to do with the renovations. You used to have a selections of Tea, Coffee, Orange Juice, Milk, and fresh Muffins and Pastries along with cereal bars and and breakfast cereals to choose from. Now they have gotten rid of the coffee urn, OJ, and milk and you only get a few sugary cereal bars to eat. I asked the disinterested guy at the front desk (who was wearing his ear buds) and he told me there was a Keurig in my room. It's true that coffee was int eh room, but only ONE serving and I drank it the night before. Even if I hadn't used it, who wants to trapse back to their room and make coffee and then cart it to the breakfast table? Please get this fixed for your post-renovation guests. I also noticed the intersection on which this hotel is located was considerably nosier than I remembered from previous stays. Every moron in Brentwood with a loud engine (bikes and cars) enjoyed screaming away when the light turned green. Not the hotel's fault, but worth considering. I hope 2024 brings this hotel back to its previous high standards.

Wonderful personal service from staff. The front office was the best we've ever had. The small scale of this inn allows them to address issues quickly and fairly, unlike major chains that seem to take forever to find the right person to really take ownership if an issue. They'll be closing mid-June to complete their renovations and reopen in October with fresh interiors and likely higher prices. Even then they'll be a good value.

Wonderful stay at Brentwood Inn Had a great stay at the Brentwood Inn. Part of it was under construction (in April) but our accommodations and service were fine. Nika and Louis at the front desk were both awesome - shout out to Nika for fixing our minor cable TV issue (hope that the TV and remotes are updated/replaced during the renovation). Looking forward to returning soon!

Firm bed for a good night's sleep Very comfortable bed and that was much appreciated. Free parking is also a plus. The hotel is in the process of being renovated and I think that will help with some of the dated aspects of the rooms. The carpet in our room definitely needs to be replaced. I would recommend putting a rug in the bathroom -- the tile floor was like ice cubes and that is not pleasant in the morning. I would also look into weighted shower curtains -- our shower curtain basically clug to us as we tried to shower. Location is convenient to Brentwood and The Getty. A little tricky to get into the parking lot at rush hour as there are several schools that are getting out at the same time and the traffic was horrible.
