What a bargain! I don’t like to spend a lot of money on a hotel. I just need a place to sleep. This hotel was perfect! The room was quiet even though close to a busy street and well equipped with microwave, coffee machine, flatscreen TV, and refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. The free breakfast had eggs & sausage. The parking lot is gated. I highly recommend Biscuit & Bean for lunch a block away!

Scamming and uninformed hotel! Worst hotel ever. They will illegally take a copy of your ID and Credit Card. When showing your concern about this, the front desk will pull out a copy of another guests ID and CC to show it to you so you can just take a picture of it. Also It is against California law to announce a guests room number out loud, but they announced my room number when checking me in anyways. They also wrote my room number on a parking ticket that they made me put onto my dashboard. I asked them for the copy of my id and cc back with all the fraud going on and they refused to give it to me. When letting the manager know in the morning everything that happened and that it was illegal she said “you should tell us what to do since you know everything” yes obviously I should because you guys are breaking the law! To be a manager you need to be informed of hotel laws in California. She MAGALY MORAN then closed the window on my face and walked away from the desk while I was standing there. This hotel should expect a lawsuit very soon.

Basic hotel and a decent option w/realistic expectations. But a few things to note. Comfort Inn provides a solid, basic, 2-star hotel option in Los Angeles, between Echo Park and Silver Lake. If you have realistic expectations, you'll have a fine stay. I stayed for 5 nights while in-town for a wedding and selected this due to budget. Overall my stay was fine (due to realistic expectations). But there are a few things other guests should know before booking: 1. Parking is an extra $12/day but it is locked and secured. Given parking costs in LA, this isn't a bad deal but that charge went into effect on in April. 2. The hotel isn't modern or really visually appealing. Even for a basic 2-star hotel, it shows its age and could use significant upgrades to make it look nicer. But then it would probably cost more. 3. Wifi is available but spotty and requires multiple logins to access. Not very strong either (in case you are working remotely). But it is accessible. 4. Housekeeping is available daily which is nice. 5. The continental breakfast was also basic but good. Food and drinks are replenished regularly and it's a nice way to save some money on a meal. 6. Location isn't bad. It's not in a pretty or charming part of Los Angeles but there are some good food spots nearby (or a quick bus ride away) and it's close to the freeway to get you anywhere in the city. 7. Staff is okay. The manager was nice but the other staff is hit or miss on knowledge or help. One gave incorrect information at check in and then neglected other key information as well (which I will mention next). Again, for a basic, 2-star hotel, you aren't going to get rock stars but if they sound unsure, push them. They should know this stuff and don't. 8. Keycards have to be recoded daily (do so at breakfast). Otherwise you cannot access the garage and TBD if you can access your room. They should tell you this at check in (but I was not told) so now you know. TBD if I would stay again, but for a value and location, it was a fine choice. Beds were not super comfortable (same with pillows) but it met overall expectations so that's that.

Beware credit card scam at this location. My friend and I booked a double queen bedroom. Although the room was large and clean with easy parking the check in process was horrendous! The clerk was behind a wall of glass and we couldn't hear him. He xeroxed our drivers licenses and credit cards front and back. He said he would not shred them or return the copies, we shared our concerns about credit fraud and he threatened to not give us a room. We had tickets and plans for the weekend and we were helpless. Warning to others, this could be a long term credit fraud.

Terrible Experience My experience at this hotel was unfortunately marked by several issues that made my stay quite unpleasant. From the moment I arrived at the reception, I was greeted by staff who seemed disinterested and not very friendly. Upon entering the room, the situation did not improve. Even though I had put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, the housekeeping service knocked on the door several times. It's truly frustrating when a hotel chain doesn't accept a corporate card as a deposit, especially if you're traveling for work and don't have immediate access to other funds. The situation you describe is even more concerning, as it could result in significant discomfort, such as the possibility of not having a place to stay overnight. The hotel's refusal to accept the card provided by your company shows inflexibility on the part of the hotel chain. This policy can create complicated situations for guests, especially for business travelers who often rely on these corporate cards to cover expenses during their trips. It's essential for hotels and hotel chains to be more understanding and flexible regarding different forms of payment, especially when it comes to corporate cards provided by companies to their employees. This lack of flexibility can harm the hotel chain's reputation and result in the loss of customers, as many guests value convenience and ease of transactions during their stays. I hope the hotel chain considers reviewing its policies to better accommodate the needs of guests and provide a more pleasant and convenient experience for those who travel for work or leisure. After all, customer satisfaction is a key factor for the success of any business in the hotel industry. This experience left me with a terrible impression of the hotel chain. After all, hospitality and genuine concern for the well-being of guests are essential factors in making any stay memorable and satisfactory
