A bit icky 2.5 stars rounded down. Stayed twice on a trip down south (had booked ahead) - on the way down and back up. Convenient location - close to lots of fast food and a small mall. But the first stay was a bit icky - the room had obviously just been cleaned - the floor was still damp and sticky - and had that used mop smell. Also some hair that wasn't ours in the bathroom. Got take out from Denny's and they ran out of plastic cutlery, so didn't give us any, I went back and had to ask for real cutlery. Just all round a little yucky. that being said, since we had to stay on the way back, it was actually a bit better. Not smelly this time, and very soft sheets.

Cozy and Quiet I traveled up the East Coast to spend some time with my family for Christmas. I booked a “standard room” on the IHG app the night before because I was unsure of the demand for rooms would be being close to such a peak travel time. It took about 8 hours and I arrived a little before dinner time. The hotel is situated off of I-95 North close to the Interstate, however not close enough to have to deal with traffic noise; at least from the room I had which was on the exterior facing the roadway. My check-in was quick and easy and I was put on the second floor in a double queen room, I booked a standard room which gives the hotel discretion based on availability to assign you to any type of room they would like for the lowest rate. Traveling alone I only used the one bed but, it was with no issue to me. You can tell the property is dated, it is two stories built in an ‘L’-shape; and has a bar as well as a full Denny’s connected to the lobby. Although the property is older, built in 1990 and most recently remodeled in 2011 according to an independent website it is kept EXTREMELY clean, and everything for the most part was in working order. My room was small but, was very warm and had a cozy feel which was great for a cold December night. However, my heating & a/c unit fan made a loud sound when it was starting up which was bothersome. Fortunately, I was able to keep it low so it rarely had to turn on as I prefer my room on the cooler side; and the hallway corridors were kept warm so I slept fine throughout the night. My bed was clean and extremely comfortable. The hotel also provides a wake-up call service through the phone in the room. My only somewhat of a complaint was that a housekeeper knocked at my door at 9:AM to see if the room was still occupied. In her defense, I did not have my “do not disturb” sign out but, I've personally never had that happen. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and will certainly be a guest in the future if needed!

Outdated We stayed here on the way from the DC area to Hilton Head. I booked here because I had some IHG points and it was free. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. This is not your typical full service Holiday Inn. There is a Denny’s but no bar. We wanted some glasses to enjoy our wine in the room and asked for a cork screw. The hotel didn’t have one and sent us to Denny’s (in the lobby) to get a glass. They gave us 2 paper cups. The hotel is very outdated. There are other hotels close that look newer and much nicer.

Fine in a pinch It was good enough. All the “name” brand hotels (Hampton, Fairfield, Courtyard, HIE) were sold out within a few hours drive on Saturday night. Way better IMO than a sleep inn or motel 6 type. Hotel had a Dennys in lobby and a Starbucks almost in parking lot. The room was clean enough. Bedding seemed clean which is most important. Bath was fine but dated. Hate bathtubs with shower curtains in hotels. The carpet was dark so hard to tell how clean it was. Huge mini fridge and microwave. It was quiet but heat/ac loud but was almost white noise. Front desk lady was very nice and polite. Very difficult hotel to navigate if you are handicapped. Long hallways. 2 stories. 1 elevator. Most people used the stairs with their luggage. Elevator was in the furthest corner from front desk. Hotel is old fashioned holiday inn style. Didn’t turn on TV. Didn’t seem to have a lot of channels. Right off 95 for easy on and off. A few stores in area. Was just thankful for a clean bed to sleep in . Price was fine . They had free coffee in the lobby when I went down at 6:30. (Starbucks was open too)

Nice room, great location Spacious room & bathroom. Has an outdoor pool but no hot tub. Lounge is closed (pandemic closure & not yet reopened). Free breakfast at Denny's attached to hotel (in lobby). Hotel layout may put your room a significant walk away from the lobby so if that's important to you you should ask to see the map and request a room where you want to be. The TV doesn't allow us to plug in Roku and has a very strange channel system with multiple channel guides and hyphenated channel numbers, but eventually we were able to watch a movie on HBO. This hotel is in a great location in a plaza with stores, gas, & restaurants and an easy (access road) drive to a grocery store, planet fitness, and more. I can recommend the outback steakhouse (walking distance) and NOT recommend the Texas Steakhouse down the street.
