A Marriott property that gives great service despite the pandemic. Despite being a Category 2 hotel, this Marriott property definitely meets and excels in the standards set by the Marriott brand. Great, welcoming staff; rooms were clean; breakfast offered at the hotel's bistro was great. Hotel Staff: Understandably, the hotel and hospitality industry has been hit hard due to the pandemic, but I still look forward to great service from hotel employees despite all the struggles and setbacks, and I definitely was not disappointed. Upon check-in, I was immediately greeted and recognized for being a Platinum Elite Member with Marriott, which I always appreciate. The Marriott Bonvoy app was correct that the welcome gift of choice for Platinum Elites (and higher) was still being offered, whether that be the $10 per day food and beverage credit for you and a +1, or 500 points per stay. I chose the food and beverage credit as most Marriott hotels tend to offer points only as of late, so the welcome amenity choice was a nice surprise. Housekeeping: My room was definitely clean. I was even more pleased to see that the in-room coffee maker, coffee filters, and disposable cups were still present in my room as most Marriott properties have done away with the in-room amenity due to Covid. But honestly, if the coffee maker is cleaned (which it definitely looked clean and clear of any dirt or grime) and everything is disposable, then I don't see why they can't be included in all hotel rooms. The only critique I would give is that my room was missing the complimentary mini-pack of antibacterial wipes as well as hand soap, but I improvised and just used the body wash dispenser in the bathroom as hand soap as a substitute. There was also a rust stain near the toilet, but it seemed more like just an eyesore and not so much as an indication that it was dirty. Overall, my room was spic and span clean, no major complaints, just very satisfied. Amenities: Their pool was closed, but it seemed their workout room (with only cardio machines) was available for use as long as you informed the front desk beforehand and let them know when you were done so they could clean the area. There was also a business center in the lobby, but I did not use any of the hotel's amenities. In-hotel restaurant/bistro: For my $10 food and beverage credit, I opted to use it for mainly breakfast in the morning. Actually, the bistro at this Courtyard was only open for breakfast. I was very pleased with their healthy egg white breakfast sandwich and being able to get Starbucks coffee with it. I was definitely glad about the egg white breakfast sandwich as an option as I workout often and I do like it when hotels and restaurants offer high protein foods/meals. A yogurt also came with my breakfast sandwich as well. I probably only had to pay a dollar or two extra after using up my $10 credit, and being able to use the credit per day turned out to be a great deal in the end. Overall: The Courtyard by Marriott Macon definitely earned a 5-star rating. The staff at this hotel has definitely won me over with their professionalism and winning attitudes. I would say my experience at this Courtyard is pretty much the same experience I would have gotten pre-pandemic. The fact that they were able to pull out the right stops as a Marriott property, despite an economic slowdown, shows how much they care about their business, and it definitely shows.

Great for an overnight We did one night, passing through, and found this Courtyard to fit the bill. Marriott's always deliver on expectations. A good room and good service. Not much to say. It's easy access from I-75 (not the bypass). Close a bunch of restaurant. There's nice green area to walk the pups if needed. The hotel is due for a refresh, I mean a renovation is due ASAP but all and all, a decent stay at a decent price. One constructive criticism... Make sure to give training to the emplooyes if they want to smoke do it away from the exits and hang out with their friends but NOT at work is disrespectful to the guest and property so needless to say is highly unprofessional that's why im going 3 stars but again is all about training. no complementary coffee after breakfast is close what?

Great Stay My family and I stayed here on the way through last night. It’s convenient to the interstate and we booked at a great price. The guy at the front desk last night and the woman this morning were very friendly. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower was great, and we loved the provided shampoo and body wash. The only negative was the hotel is starting to show some age. It’s been there for years as I used to live in Macon and it’s been there since before I moved there. That being said, I would definitely recommend staying here. It was a great stay.

Train in the Parking Lot This was a beautiful hotel! Our room was clean and nicely furnished. The WIFI worked great, and the shower was wonderful. HOWEVER....there is a TRAIN that runs past the hotel blowing its horn at 6:30 in the morning (and once during the night.) So much for sleeping in on our vacation!! If you are an early bird, this awesome hotel is perfect for you.

Louisville to Fort Lauderdale After a long day of travel and last minute change to itinerary we stopped at the Courtyard Macon. Emily and Lee went above and beyond for my family of five and we are very very greatful. They are a testament to hiring the right people and the right personalities. From two long time Marriott managers my wife and I thank you for your hospitality. A smile and genuine care go much further than all the frills.
