Holiday Inn Madrid - Bernabeu

Lovely experience. Myself and my two sons have just returned from a fantastic 7-night stay at the Hilton Canopy Hotel in Madrid. All the staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with modern styling. However, the main bar and the terrace restaurant/bar are the highlight of the hotel. Daniel, the bar manager, and his staff are extremely well trained and managed. Our thanks go out to Jesus, Marcelo, Dany (who makes fantastic Sangria), Leticia, Amanda, and all the other staff whose names we cannot recall, for making our stay so memorable.

Not sure it is a business hotel? Booked for work as close to office, was twice the price of our recommended Corporate stays, so had good expectations. I’ll start with my issues: staying 3 nights for work but could only pre book 4th floor as the highest room. Pre requested an upgrade to a higher room at my own expense to ensure a nice view and quiet. It’s 3 nights on my own; little luxuries. Check in, no upgrade, so 4th floor it is. And it’s a nice room so first world problems. First evening spent on the E (terrace) floor to watch the Euro matches - England & Spain. Ended up staying for dinner - Smash burger, not Spanish, I know but was really good! All good so far, except the England performance, but hey we got through. Issue was at 4am until 6am - it’s a Sunday/ Monday school night, and the local clubs I didn’t know were opposite the hotel have turfed out and they’re carrying on the partying and screaming in the area outside the hotel under my room. TV it is then until I need to get up for work at 7. No solutions the next day at reception apart from a lower room on the other side of the building - fallen for that trick before, that’s where the bins and deliveries are, I bet. Anyway, in short, location for work is ok. Is it worth double the Melia or Hotel Puerto America I could have stayed at for half the price? And btw my rate excluded breakfast. And big beef, pool terrace closes at 8pm. No evening chill, sunset, don’t need the pool to be open or even a bar. It’s an amazing space that you finish work at 6.30, want to chill after dinner and it’s closed. And advanced notice, the pool is ice cold. May try the others next trip in a few months. Sleep is too precious after a 9 hours drive/ flight/ taxi on my Sunday to be early on Monday ready for work! Positives: the staff, it’s very clean, house keeping is excellent, water jugs and stations on each floor. Don’t know what the tasting offer was , wasn’t explained.

Perfect four star hotel We had a great time in Madrid. We stayed eight nights in the Canopy by Hiltonhotel. Good choice. The staff at the reception and in the bars/restaurants was very friendly and helpful. Good food and tastefull wines. Special remark for the two ladies, Dubraszka and Jeamary, in the PlantaZ bar. Super hotel will return Really lovely hotel. Wonderful staff from reception A call out for Carla and Alejandro Plenty of great restaurants close by. The breakfast offer was top notch. The pool was a real bonus especially in the warm weather. I will definitely return on future visits to Madrid

Great stay! It’s my second time staying at this property and It won’t be the last! EVERYTHING HERE IS TOP NOTCH! Amazing service from everyone we have encountered ! Special thanks to Alex, Javi and all the reception team for always greeting us with a smile! Rooms are spacious with an outstanding decor! The hotel is based close to amazing shops and restaurants! Thank you to all the team for another amazing stay !
