Glad We Chose Hampton Inn & Suites, Manchester. We were thoroughly pleased with the great renovation/refurbishment of this hotel (we think it was completed about 1.5 yrs ago) as this was our first visit back in several years. The set-up of the king suite was great. But even making us happier was the conversion of the tubs to walk in showers, making the shower a nice size and roomy (we heard some rooms still have tubs). Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. Room very clean, staff was friendly and always had a smile. Bed was comfortable as you would expect from a Hilton hotel. An extra special shout out to Angel, who worked at the reception desk. With Hurricane Milton approaching FL and our flight home in doubt, Angel was just that, an Angel, as he assisted us in extending our stay in the same accommodations until we could leave for our re-booked flight 3 days later. Without his assistance, we would have been looking for another hotel. We regret we weren't able to personally thank him again when we left as he was not on duty. Tip: if you go to the Artisanal Burgers next door, don't forget to show your room key for a 10% discount.

Clean and comfortable Spent one night here. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the temperature control excellent. Front desk and staff were helpful and friendly. Location is excellent, not near anything loud and easy walking distance (just a few minutes) to a shopping center with several decent food options. The free breakfast was kind of meh, but not a deal breaker. We'd definitely go there again.

Dirty linen I contacted the hotel manager several times to discuss my experience. The manager never responded. Just to make sure I had the correct email address; I contacted the hotel on two occasions to verify her email address. I stayed at your property a few weekends ago. When I arrived, I noticed that some of the towels were dirty, but I didn't make an issue about it. I just picked up some more towels at the front desk. However, the following morning, I noticed the bed linen was soiled. This was discovered once I pulled back the sheets to make sure I didn't leave anything in the bed. I provided this feedback to the manager who clearly is too busy to respond.

Convenient and Clean This was my third stay at this hotel. It's an excellent place for an overnight when I travel between Maine and points south. Easy on/off the highway, rooms are clean and staff is friendly. The first time I stayed two years ago they were undergoing renovations which seem to be complete. Not only are there great choices at the free breakfast but they had FRESH strawberries and blueberries on this trip! There are lots of choices for a quick meal in the shopping complex next door for dinner and lunch as well. Free coffee and tea outside of breakfast hours is an appreciated perk at Hampton Inns, including this location.

Some Pros, with Cons aplenty PROS: Clean rooms, good bed, good location on plaza with food + shop options. Computer room open 24/7. Exercise room looked clean; indoor pool. CONS: -- Odd Check-In Policy -- Be FOREWARNED. My room was paid for a day in advance by family-member's CC. I had a printout of the reservation, and showed my ID, but desk clerk said an 'additional deposit of $100.' was required! Clerk would NOT let me up to the room, until my family member drove over 'in-person' to pay that fee - because clerk would not take his CC over the phone! Extremely Odd and Troublesome for my family member. AND when I chose to stay another day, due to a snow-storm, desk clerk said 'CASH Not Accepted'. (!?!) I didn't have enough left on my CC to cover it on my card, but I had enough in cash (but my bank is in NJ), so I was told my family member had to, again, come back 'in-person', to cover addl. day, as policy is NOT to take CC over phone!! Can you believe this?! And my CASH was Unacceptable! > I would NOT stay at a Hampton Inn again, just because of these 2 things. No explanation was given for either requirement. Both I and my family member have traveled plenty but never come upon this before. OTHER: DISCOUNT of 10% at Artisanal Burger Restaurant. ** BUT - No one in hotel desk told me of the 10% discount at the Artisan Burger restaurant, located just feet from hotel - when you show them your Hotel Room Card. BUT - it's Not printed on hotel's dining list either, nor was it noted on anything at the front desk. :-[ BUT- me and my family member, when we ate at said-restaurant, paying over $100., did NOT get any discount. :-[ -- I only learned of the discount later that night, when I used another hotel elevator and saw it printed on a sign among other notations - it didn't stand out, was Not obvious. So I went back to the restaurant, same date before midnight, and showed my Room Card and asked their Manager to credit my family-member's CC on his bill, but she refused. She said he had to come back 'in-person' for that. I asked her why didn't the waitress inform us, and the manager's excuse was. "It's not our policy to be nosy about where people are staying. " Honestly, all the 'in-person' stuff... even at the restaurant, and that excuse. :-( ALSO: Hotel Lobby chairs need cleaning. Noisy large group took over whole front seating room all night long. Room fridge is 'hidden' in cabinet. Room door has no way to keep it open while one brings in multiple luggage and food. I had to use a rolled-towel positioned in door frame to hold it open. No sneeze-guards over food in breakfast buffet - with Kids everywhere handling everything. :-( (the scrambled eggs are full of cheese - Not noted on sign. **NOTE: There is a Trader Joe's store on the plaza, great for buying own food to eat, storing in room-fridge. Saved me money and bother with restaurants.
