Decent place to stay in Maryville My husband and I stayed here again after a 5 year absence (another high school reunion). The hotel is definitely showing its age with lots of wall dings and carpet stains but is still a decent place to stay. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with the exception of the bathroom fan which sounded like a jet engine (and couldn't be turned off without shutting off the light). Breakfast was a highlight, as there was much more variety and high quality choices than we've encountered at other hotels during COVID.

Nice staff, but this IHG property is badly in need of a refresh Stayed one night at the end of a 10 day trip. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful at check in and when we requested additional towels. Also, the suite had the extra space we expected and the sofa and sitting area was separated from the bedroom, which was nice for watching TV while others slept. Sadly, this hotel needs everything udpated. The parking lot is falling apart with crumbling concrete. The elevator is scratched up and the floor is very dirty looking. The "flat screen" TVs are the thicker 32" models which dates it about 10+ years. The phone on the desk was disgusting (stained and dirty looking). You can just tell from the furniture and doors that everything needs replacing. For what they are charging, this needs fixing. Anyone giving it better ratings either paid half off, or doesn't travel much.

Just ok. The room was not well lit. The blinds were not installed properly and wouldn’t completely open. The entire building seemed cramped. Plus side, staff was helpful and friendly. The lady serving the breakfast was very good at her job, and the food was very good.

Not the greatest stay.... Sorry to say but this definitely wasn’t our best Holiday Inn experience. Upon check in - which was friendly, but unhelpful when requesting info about a late check in we carried our items up to our room. My husband and kids starting unpacking while I used the restroom- which after further inspection wasn’t just an older bathroom but possibly hadn’t been completely clean. Large clumps of hair on the floor and some sort of residue on the sink. In the room itself the desk area had sticky residue and some more hair. Since we were already half unpacked and it was a one night stay we agreed we would just Lysol wipe it and move on. Pool was nice and warm but definitely didn’t smell of any chemicals. Hallway floors were unclean in most areas of the hotel and to get to the pool you had to walk under and area where the above floor was leaking out - they tried to cover with a trash bag to keep it from leaking but it wasn’t working. Beds were comfy at least. And the hotel was quiet despite being right along the road. So since I had been told the night before I needed to come down first thing in the morning to request the late checkout, I ran down to the desk around 7:45. To which I was told again the housekeeping manager only could grant this and she doesn’t arrive until 9:30. Ummm at that point how is that helpful for anyone?? In our particular situation, we are a family of 4 with a college tour at 9am that only 3 can attend due to Covid rules. I explained the latest I would need to check out (on a Monday morning) was 11:30 but again was told I would have to wait until 9:30 or 10 to know if it was allowed. Breakfast was about normal for what we have seen during Covid aside from Drury Inns - fruit, yogurt, sandwiches you could heat up and such. Toaster oven wasn’t plugged in for the kids to heat up the eggos, but they made due in the microwave.
