Be aware! Dump! Don’t stay here, this motel is gross! Motel is extremely dated, has a weird smell that you can’t get out of your clothes. The room is the size of a ballroom with no furniture except for the bed and a table holding the tv, the A/C unit sounds like a Boeing jet plane. Spend a little more and go elsewhere, this place is not worth a penny!

Stay elsewhere Booked here as my HI express was sold out. Move in weekend for local college. Upon pulling sheets back to get in bed, there was food/crumbs in the bed. (On a side note, some suspicious looking guys sitting in their car, outside the doorway) Got our belongings and checked out. Now, of course I am having issues getting a refund. This place is an absolute dump. Any SUNY Cortland, Ithaca, Syracuse parents stay away. Wouldn't even stay here if it was free.

Why does this place get goofd reviews???????? So as I was checking in another guest was complaining that her room was too hot. The clerk said "Yeah I know it's hard to control. We just open the window." Hmmmmmm. I asked about breakfast. He said "When it was a Days Inn we had breakfast but not now." I am a very frequent traveler. This is the first motel I've stayed in in over 20 years that didn't offer SOMETHING for breakfast. Even a bagle and cofee for gosh sakes!! Hmmmmmm. Got to my room and the pass key didn't work. The clerk apparently saw me struggling on a TV monitor and came running up with a new key. He said "Most guests have this problem. The pass keys don't usually work." He struggledd himself but finally got the door open. Hmmmmmm. Went into our non-smoking room and it absolytely REEKED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE!!! Hmmmmmmmm. The coup de grace was that the roomwas about 45 degrees (it was 15 outside). When we turned the heat on the room warmed up quickly then WE COULDN'T TURN DOWN THE HEAT! The heat was either on full blast or totally off. No in between. So several times during the night we had to get up and turn the heat on and stay awake long enough to turn it off so the room didn't turn into a sauna. HMMMMMMMM. Bottom line: the place is clean, and seems safe, and the clerk seemed like a nice guy but I'd be a fool to stay there again. If you do, good luck. After all, it is cheap!

Good stay I enjoyed my stay here. Was quiet and felt safe. I booked one night on my way up to Canada and then booked it again on my way back down to Texas. Whole stay here again. Man at front desk very friendly also.

Clean, dependable hotel with no pet fee!! I stayed here for two nights while attending a dog event nearby. This hotel was formerly a Days Inn and has been renovated when changing to a Motel 6. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and reasonably well appointed with the basics, and the carpeting looked to be brand new - nice and clean. Good channel access on the TV until a storm came through and knocked out the satellite signal. I found the beds a bit soft, but then I like my bed quite firm. Towels were quite thick, but there was only two small bars of soap - no shampoo, tissues, etc., but the hair dryer was there and worked well. Small fridge and microwave in the room but no coffee maker. There also was no breakfast bar - just a coffee machine that used a coffee concentrate - it wasn't very good. There was also an exercise room. The hotel was quite quiet, despite a parking lot full of cars. Also, plenty of space to walk my dog. There was no information package on the desk, and no phone in the room, so you had to go to the front desk to ask any questions, and you have no info on local restaurants. The location is right off Interstate 81 and only a couple of minutes from Cortland - very handy, and the rates were good. I usually stay at the Red Roof in Cortland, but I would stay here again when the Red Roof jacks up their prices during college weekends.
