Top notch experience well worth the price Visiting Mexico City and Mexico for the first time we wanted a comfortable place to stay while we explore the city. Having stayed at the St Regis in Hong Kong we know what to expect. The experience started even before our arrival as our concierge emailed me to inform me that their team is there to take care of us. When we arrived since we got there really early (7am) they kindly informed us that even though it’s still early the room is ready for us. We were promptly shown to our room by our butler. Over the course of the stay we utilized the butler/concierge service many times from getting pen to pressing our clothes (2 free press per person per day). Their WhatsApp integration is top notch and their replies are always within a couple minutes. They manage to also help us make reservation at Contramar and private tour of the Teotihuacan (100% recommend). I even got late night drink and food delivered! We have had time to check out the restaurant but the bar drinks’ quality were excellent. They even accommodated my friend’s birthday and had him experience the sabering ceremony. The room itself was great! Lots of closet space and the bathroom was large. The housekeeper does an excellent job keeping the room clean everyday. Someone said the room looked a bit dated but personally I find it ok! 10/10 service, experience and would most definitely come back.

Best Service I stayed at the St Regis at the end of May. Cesar is the best concierge I have ever interacted with. He found impossible reservations and was so kind and polite. Ruben at the restaurant was amazing and a delight every morning. He was attentive and was pleasant and hospitable. Impeccable service. Rodolfo was also wonderful at the restaurant. I will definitely recommend this hotel and go back. Thank you to the great staff.

Great Stay! Sad to leave! Wonderful time at the St Regis. Our butler and concierge and manager gave us excellent attention and service. In room dining was phenomenal and quick. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer! We also enjoyed the Díana restaurant with a great terrace and view. Hotel arranged for rides to and from the airport which made it all seamless. We also liked the location as it’s pretty centric to all the common areas to visit.

Good Quality St.Regis But Suite a bit Boring and Bland I stayed at St.Regis Mexico City and found the hotel to be decent although not my favorite St.Regis in the world. I would not call the hotel ‘aging’ yet but it will get there at some point and I was not wowed by the hardware. Regarding service it was generally good but there were also some hiccups, so all in all I can recommend StR and I would consider returning but for the price tag I am not convinced it’s the best deal in the city. I booked the entry level room and was upgraded as Ambassador Elite to the Executive Suite which is the standard suite at this hotel. It was a formal suite with the living room completely separated from the bedroom but overall not very spacious at 60 sqm, it was particularly the bedroom which felt cramped. Another issue was that the room was a bit boring and many walls were blank, it was somewhat missing a Mexican flavor to the room. For older hotels I usually dislike carpet but at StR the carpet was thick and fluffy and I did not notice any stains. The bathroom was also still in decent condition and I liked the shower which also served as a steam room. Most recent modern hotels have power plugs on each side of the bed but that was one sign of StR’s age, power was not easily accessible and generally power outlets not plentiful elsewhere in the room. Thankfully the bed was very comfortable and clearly StR quality, and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast timing was a generous 7am-11:30am and was served in the restaurant which had some seating indoors and some in an area which was semi-outdoors as it looked a bit like a greenhouse but with windows open to get the cool morning breeze; for the venue I found it was great. Breakfast was entirely a la carte without any buffet, and I found the menu to be quite varied and extensive, and my dishes were all excellent. Service during my stay was quite good with staff addressing me by name but there were also some miscues and room for improvement. First of all, the welcome amenity was a glass of champagne and some chocolates which I enjoyed and they also gave me a N95 mask which is a good idea because most hotels only give generic surgical masks. Also I had made them aware that my suitcase was delayed and might arrive during the night. It was a great gesture to bring me extra amenities for the first night. There were a couple of service lapses during my stay however, first during the first breakfast, several minutes after I made my order they told me their equipment broke and that I could not have a hot dish and they asked me to choose something else. As far as I know they do not have only one restaurant in the hotel so I am not sure they handled it very well and they could have offered me some alternatives, anyway I said I preferred to wait rather than eat only cold dishes and after perhaps 20 minutes they brought the dish I had originally ordered. Also one day I had to ask three times for a refill of water in the room because they failed to bring anything the first two times I asked. In the balance of things it was a good stay and I appreciated the suite upgrade but it was not the most wonderful StR suite and considering that room rates at StR are quite high during week days (weekends are cheaper), next time I will be open to return to StR but I will also explore alternatives.

disappointing After one positive stay we decided to come back and unfortunately we have paid for the whole 3-day stay. Their Diana restaurant is a total chaos: you must wait 5 minutes until you get a QR code to scan to the menu, then for 2 fried eggs you might wait another 35 minutes, to get refill of your juice from a jug that is 2 meters away- it takes them another 5 to 6 minutes. All it happens while their manager keeps sending text messages to his lovers and having fun. Buttler service is another joke: you ask for green tea- you get a mint tea. You ask for Earl Grey- you get black tea, like a Russian roulette. Miserable, VERY unstable internet. Sometimes it is OK, but then during a video conference there are too much interference to understand another person. Of course, their explanation is: all is perfect...but it is NOT.
