Crystal Beach Suites Miami Oceanfront Hotel

Could use some work We booked a day room at the hotel after our cruise so we could have a little beach/pool time in Miami Beach. Pool was very nice although I could do without the loud music playing. Not very peaceful. Beach was nice. Chairs were included and available. Water felt wonderful. This is an older hotel in North Beach area and while bed was nice and clean the bathroom and sink area could use an update. Carpet and couch could use an update as well. Young lady at front desk was friendly. Area around the hotel is not the best and while we left by 5pm, this is not a place I’d walk around at night. Homeless people sleeping in area between beach and hotel.

Mahela P. absolutely made our trip 1,000 % better, you want a hotel front service person with EXCELLENT customer service, a FRIENDLY PATIENT SMILE, WHO KNOWS MIAMI MORE THAN ANYONE THAT ACTUALLY OFFERS A FRIENDLY VOICE, GO HERE!!!! SHE HELPED MAKE OUR TRIP AMAZING after disappointment with another booking. The hotel staff is amazing, clean... NO BUGS ANYWHERE, CLEAN BED SHEETS, clean kitchen, never saw one bug in the WHOLE HOTEL, that says alot. ..... so ASK FOR MAHELA P. if younwant an amazing time , she's absolutely amazing !!

Upset Guest I enjoyed it but i soon realize they really nickel and dime people for every penny they can. I stayed for 4 nights and extended my stay they started packing on extra charges later for things i didnt even agree to pay for. The food around the area is great though i will admit but one of the people at the front tried to get me to pay double of what i already paid and then some. That is ridiculous! Sorry to say i cant come back to this hotel if i book a reservation and extended it that should be the end of the deal not nickel and dime people! And since you say i had to pay my deposit after i already paid you yea yall can forget it. My birthday got ruined and i wont be coming here again after i already got the ok to proceed with my reservation. SMH!!!

You get what you pay for. Dangers and inconveniences. We picked this Hotel after careful consideration. We saw that the reviews said the rooms were dated and the counter staff was rude but it was supposed to be clean, it had Direct Beach Access and a pool at a reasonable price so we made a reservation. After checking in (early) we stored our luggage behind the counter and went to check out the pool. It was CLOSED and under construction!! There was no mention of this on the web site or at the check-in desk (We later found a note stuck up in the elevator that addressed it). After complaining to the front desk they said they would remove the resort fee upon checkout. We had to ask at checkout for it to be removed because it wasn’t. Now for the DANGEROUS part: Upon check-in I noticed the fire alarm panel was showing “trouble” and had been silenced but what makes that worse is EVERY Fire Door in both stairwells on every floor were either tied open or the closures were removed to make them inoperative. Also, the Fire Doors on Laundry Rooms were open. This kind of negligence can easily turn a small confined fire into a multi-floor multi-fatality fire with no way to stop the smoke/fire spread. The room was clean but the furniture and bed were worn out. The tankless water heater would randomly stop while showing giving a blast of cold water. On the positive side, there is plenty of stores and restaurants in walking distance and the beach is nice and close. It’s not a bad place but you get what you pay for. Ask out the pool if making a reservation.

Dirty with insects and rats Don’t stay there! Hotel room was filthy and smelled horribly. There was this horrible fusty feeling in the air and after about 1h we both couldn’t breath and got really ill. You can’t open any windows so that didn’t help. There were flies in the room that kept appearing from nowhere and bathroom was covered in insects and flies. Carpets were very sticky too and smelled awful. The bed sheets were dirty and bed in general very uncomfortable. We saw a rat in the corridor and when told staff and they completely ignored us. The hotel was cheap, however upon check in there was a lot of additional costs ( that we had confirmed as already covered in the price upon booking). After all the extra charges we would be better off staying in much nicer hotel. Staff was rude and very unhelpful. They even charged us to store our bags for few hours as we had to wait around for our late flight. The only positive was the location. It was handy and nice and have access to the beach. Lastly , hotel took $250 security deposit which is fine. They assured me that it will be returned back 5-7 days after check out. That didn’t happen and when I called them to chase 2 weeks after check out they said that I need to leave message for their office staff. I did that and no one ever called me back. Called again but they were just rude and unhelpful. I had to liaise with my credit card company instead. Due to the fact that hotel never released my deposit I had to wait 30days and then my credit card company refunded me. I can safely say , that I will never stay there again and would never recommend to anyone.
