Not Hampton Inn Standards If this hotel didn't have signage I would not think it was a Hampton. The building is not Hampton quality. Very old. New York city size rooms. Doors have gaps and are not soundproof. Our room faced the highway and it was so loud I felt like a window was open. Even the lobby was small old and awkwardly laid out. This is the first Hampton I would not return to regardless of price. On the positive - they are trying. Rooms were clean enough and desk staff was cordial.

Keep driving and don’t stop here. I honestly don’t know how this location has 4 stars. It is disgusting, and worn out. To brand it as a Hampton Inn is a disservice to Hilton. As a Diamond Member, this location lacks in everything, from cleanliness to customer service. If you want to stay at a “Hampton Inn by Hilton” keep driving. This is not the hotel for you.

Terrible checkin and cancellation experience We reserved a 2 Queen beds room at Hampton Inn, Milford CT, for 4 adults for a stay from May 18 - 21, 2024, but upon arrival at around 2 am on May 19, we were given a 1 king bed room, which the hotel said was the only available room they had and it was unacceptable to our family. We tried to show the front desk manager, Ms. Annettte, the email that indicated that we had reserved a room with 2 queen beds but she was unwilling to even see it or listen to us, saying she just didn’t have any other rooms and there was nothing else she could do. She also informed us that someone had called in to indicate that we needed only a 1 King bed near the elevator. We had not called in any such request. Upon listening to these discussions between us and the night manager, a man named Joe who apparently was a customer (according to the hotel security staff) who was staying at the hotel, and was sitting in the lobby at 2 am ,started to speak abusively at us and behaved aggressively with us including attempted assault. This happened while the front desk manager was on the phone talking to the Hampton Inn customer service representative (whom we called ) regarding the reservation. The whole experience was terribly scary and unimaginable. We didn’t feel safe there and decided that we had to leave that place. We declined to stay in the assigned 1 King Bed room as it would not accommodate 4 adults, and the front desk manager cancelled our reservation and promised to us that our credit card will not be charged and she said she took out the credit card information from the computer. However, we were charged for one night anyway, and I had to talk to my credit card issuer to block the charge. Highly disappointed at the treatment at this hotel.

Below average Hampton, poor service and hotel in need of upgrade-does not deserve to be in the Hampton brand Looks like the hotel does not currently have a GM but was given the AGM card Daniel Griffin who I reached out to TWIce with my very specific feedback and have not had the courtesy of a response: Room cleanliness was not great (hairs in the bathroom-( evidence of a previous guest) water stains on the mirror, crumbs and hair on the floor, Terry felt was like sandpaper but the bed was comfortable, overall the room had a dated look and feel to it. The shampoo amenity was empty but I usually bring my own, Bed skirts were frayed ed and the torn-one bed was hanging off, the Breakfast area is very small and very overcrowded and no sitting room available in the morning overheard a lot of guests complain about that. Basic breakfast-not at minimum brand standard, based on the meager fair and over crowding I did not have breakfast and had to purchase breakfast in a local restaurant later. Overall the FF&E and overall product are very tired and overdue for a refurb. I asked the older gentleman on Sunday morning (who looked like was the only person there apart from the kitchen prep associate) who the management company was, he did not know and just pointed to The AGM business card! I asked if there was a manager or supervisor there but nobody. I was astonished that on a Sunday morning with a full house, no manager or senior person on the property on a busy check including a tour group to deal with guest issues or to provide a presence in the lobby !!! The older guest service agent on the desk was sitting on a stool looks unprofessional! Overall poorly run property has minimal staffing and is product tired. The management company and Hilton Brand need to look into this and I would strongly suggest a QA visit by the brand as this property is doing nothing for the Hampton brand !!

This Hotel Isn’t ADA Compliant This hotel doesn’t comply with the ADA. I am in a wheelchair and booked an accessible room. When I got there I was given a regular room. The room was so small that I couldn’t move my wheelchair around in it. I told the lady working at the front desk that I needed an accessible room because the room they gave me was too small and I couldn’t move my wheelchair in it. She told me it was an accessible room. She said all the rooms were accessible. I told her I couldn’t move around in the room and wanted to switch rooms. She started arguing with me and would give me another room. She said that there were no other rooms available. She didn’t even check the computer. So I told her that I wanted a refund. She wouldn’t refund my money. She kept arguing with me. She finally went to the room with me to check. I told her I couldn’t get to the bed because the bureau with the TV stand was too close to beds and the space was too narrow for my wheelchair to get through. She told me to just get up and walk to the bed. I told her I couldn’t walk She gave me a look and asked me if I couldn’t get up and walk just a little so I could get to the bed! I said no. She told me they had no other rooms and to check back tomorrow!. She wouldn’t refund my money. There was a shift change in about an hour. I waited and told the man working at the front desk that my room wasn’t accesiable. and I needed to switch rooms. He looked on his computer and gave me an accessible room down the hall. I told him I needed a shower bench. He told me that maintenance man already went home for the day and he didn’t know where the shower bench was. He told me to tell the front desk tomorrow. The next morning I called the front desk and told them that I needed a bench. The woman said she would tell maintenance and when he found it he would bring it to my room. He never did. I went to the front desk every day and asked for the bench. The employees told me the maintenance guy was looking for it and he couldn’t find it. After a couple of days, I complained to the manger Daniel. He was very rude and told me that they only had one shower bench and someone else was using it,. He told me I had to wait my turn and someone would bring it when it was available. I was there a week and never got a shower bench. The hotel is supposed to have a shower bench or shower chair in all of the handicapped rooms when you arrive. I couldn’t shower the entire week I was there.
