Floors are dirty through out the Property! My wife and I stayed here two nights. We were checked in by a wonderful person, Vunique. She upgraded us to a suite as I’m a Platinum member. She also gave us lots of information on nearby restaurants. She got the hotel four stars. Without her this place deserves a three. We were in room 509 which is large and very comfortable. The shower head and the vent were loose. I noticed that all floors in this hotel required vacuuming and some mopping. Our room had not been cleaned behind the curtains and other hidden areas. The hallway carpet was dirty. The breakfast area floor needs to be vacuumed and moped. The weight room floor also needs cleaning. Machines need to be fixed. The parking lot lines need to be repainted. Breakfast was okay but no oranges or bananas.

This location is in bad need of an update! I’ve always enjoyed staying at Holiday Inn Express in the past. Always very clean and a decent value. This time I was mostly struck by how outdated and in poor condition the hotel is. The front desk clerk was friendly and checked us in quickly. We went to get food and came back about an hour later around 6 pm. Initially we only looked at the bathroom which looked clean. I was surprised the shower was only a shower and not a shower/tub, but that’s fine. I’ll attach photos. The floors and chairs in our room, as well as the hallway carpet are dated, stained, and in poor condition. The ac is controlled from the unit rather than the wall, which is very old-fashioned. The beds are clean but I notice the mattress does not have the pillow top softness like others I’ve slept in. Both chairs in the room have stains. The valance at the top of the curtains has drooped and one of the blackout curtain pullers is missing. The tv/ dresser cabinet has chipped wood. The bedside lamp does not have USB ports so you have to bring an adapter. The tv does not allow for projecting Netflix from my phone. They are still using a cable box and the tv is not “smart.” I did not look into this locations reviews expecting all Holiday Inn Express hotels to be off the same quality. Apparently, the company considers Milford an armpit of an area and not worth updating. One more point- I asked the desk clerk whose car that was in the drive through where wt check in. It had been there when we first arrived and was there after dinner. He said it was his. I mentioned that we had to pull father forward than I wanted to allow other cars to drive through. He moved it to the other side of the driveway. I believe it should be parked in the lot, not close to the front door. Glad we are only staying one night!

Cold shower, malfunctioning TV, Tired hotel, GM ghosted. I don't expect much from a holiday inn express, just a clean bed and a warm shower. Bed was clean but got a cold shower. As other reviewers note, hotel is tired (TV malfunctioned, shower head coming off the wall) but I dont mind that so much. However even motel 6 can give me a hot shower. I complained to the GM Joe Appi who said he would compensate me with some IHG points. Then I never got the points and he has ghosted me. I am pretty sure you can find some where better.

Disappointing! A very tired hotel which is what was expected but what I didn’t expect was the room hadn’t been cleaned, thick dust everywhere. Remnants of a previous guests toilet activities and to cap it all absolutely no hot water! The guy on reception was quite rude when I asked for my invoice. All in all a very disappointing stay. I know from stays in other Holiday inns this isn’t the standard they pride themselves on and am sure the standard at this location isn’t what you want to be remembered for.

If not happy with room, switch room early Prior to going I read reviews which were good and some that were bad. So upon entering the room, I remembered a post indicating there were hair in the bed sheets. When I checked, there were some hair. I brushed it off and assumed hotel had bad laundy facilities. It was late and I didn't want to go to another room. The TV didn't work which was first time ever happen in a hotel. I called and someone came three times and finally had to mickey mouse it with two remotes. Also I heard someone complained about no hot water. One day it was hot then turn warm. Another day it was cold water and had to wait 30 seconds before warm water came. Again I attributed to the poor water heater system in hotel. Hotel said they could switch rooms for the lady who didn't have hot water. With my TV not working for 2-3 days, hotel rep offer to switch me to another room. Seems like their easy solution is switching rooms which for me was very inconvenient so I tolerated it. Also, house cleaning comes early in the morning. One day when I stayed in my room til noon, house cleaning never came. Oh well, no tip.
