Worst hotel I ever stayed in Horrible room. Tiny bathroom with shower little pressure. Noise and slamming doors all night until 200 AM. Hotel Shoul be closed or perhaps used as a homeless shelter. I would hate to even allow them to stay there

Average hotel nothing too special We booked this because it was close to the airport which made it easier to get to at the end of our stay but as we were visiting downtown San Francisco it probably would have been better to stay closer to downtown. We took local transit and it was quite a chore to figure out and it takes about 90 minutes to downtown. Between the Bart and the Muni it cost a lot in transit fees. The hotel itself is not too bad would have liked a microwave but there was one in the breakfast. It was great to have our bags checked at the front counter before we checked in. Checking in was easy enough. While we didn’t use the hot tub or pool the hot tub was a bit green looking. I appreciated the fitness room which is a good size- was a bonus for me. It only had one treadmill but as I was the only one using it , it was not a problem. We stayed two nights and there wasn’t a lot of trains the first night but more the second night and the trains have their horns blowing quite loud. They also did not clean our room - which is alright but had to get some more dry towels at the front desk. There are not a lot of good food places within walking distance other than kfc and McDonald’s, or Safeway but the Paris baguette had really good sandwiches and there is a Starbucks close by. I thought the hotel had dinner but it is only the breakfast. The breakfast is quite good with lots of hot options but no cereals other than instant oatmeal. The parking is expensive at $15 a day so it was good we turned in our rental beforehand. We were on the second floor and the elevator was out of order so be prepared to haul them up the stairs. The room itself was quite clean with separate toilet/shower area. The hotel no longer has a shuttle to the airport, but it was easy to find the bus to the airport. An average hotel but for our purposes we would not stay there again.

A Wonderful Stay in Millbrae I am very happy to leave a review for this lovely motel. I actually have a relationship with The El Rancho that dates back 50 years. I had my wedding reception here. It is a Millbrae jewel. The room I stayed in was a beauty. I couldn't have been happier with it. The room was spotless and well-appointed. I especially loved the retro bathroom. What a nice surprise. The room was well-insulated (as I heard no noise from adjoining rooms) so I was able to really relax and get a much-needed good night's rest. The atmosphere is pleasant and the area quiet in the evening. And it felt very safe. There are lots of businesses nearby so you don't have to go far to pick up whatever items you may need. They provide guests with a very nice complimentary buffet breakfast which was delicious. The staff is extremely accommodating and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this charming motel without hesitation to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe and enjoyable stay. I am pleased to say I look forward to returning to The El Rancho Inn Millbrae very soon.

Lovely inn This is a lovely inn that we have stayed in over the past few decades. The restaurant is no longer a full service restaurant and breakfast is just a buffet these days. The mermaid pool is now just a pool, but given the current climate, that’s understandable.

I’ve stayed at worse Very nice ladies at check in. But this place has been trashed. I never complain but first room I entered was like getting hit in the face with an ashtray. I’m a healthcare worker and can’t get smell like smoke, and I’m confident I would have had an asthma attack sleeping in that room. I was also told I would have a microwave in my room which was untrue. I’d have to walk all the way to the front office for the microwave room. I travel for work and don’t like to eat out so this is a massive inconvenience.
