Great downtown hotel Emery Hotel is located almost exactly in the center of downtown Minneapolis, within walking distance of everything downtown and only a block from the light rail to the airport and St. Paul. I was very glad I didn’t rent a car, especially because valet parking is $48/night! The hotel is a refurbished old building, but it feels new because of the modern design elements in guest rooms and the lobby and other features like a huge fitness center with brand new, state-of-the-art equipment that I will miss using. Also, the guest rooms are unusually large for a downtown property. It was also remarkably inexpensive for such a high-quality place. If you don’t need a car and avoid the parking issues and cost, Emery is a terrific choice.

Downtown location. This Boutique hotel is right downtown. Not the easiest to get to due to road construction. Ended up parking a couple blocks away which was no big deal. Felt safe the whole time. This is an old building converted into a hotel. They did a great job. The lobby is fantastic. Check in was OK. The room was clean and small. The bar was great. Staff pleasant. Drinks and appetizers tasty.

Bare Bones and Construction I’m a Bonvoy member and always looks for Autograph hotels for the boutique feel and unique experience. This place was quite difficult to find with obscured signage. We then circled around the block for 45 minutes trying to find the self park. Since I’m relocating for work, I didn’t want Valet to have to deal with my stuffed car. We went to three wrong parking garages following a convoluted map that was poorly explained. We finally threw in the towel and valeted. As a pet hotel, I thought it odd that there were zero dog amenities. In fact, the amenities were extremely bare bones. Pete at the hotel bar was fantastic warm and a couple of shots helped us get over how annoying it was that everything surrounding the hotel was under construction. I don’t mind that sort of thing, but GIVE THE GUEST A HEADS UP! Like “hey, we know we’re a pain in the ass to find, even harder to park, but come enjoy a drink or coffee on us for your troubles”. The phone charger I paid $30 for didn’t work and I missed an important work related call. They kindly took it off the bill. If you plan on staying, give yourself plenty of time to circle around the block for most of dinner hour. Rooms were clean, but the sofa was very unstable, the dining table light strobed like it was about to blow. Also a heads up, no cable on the tv.

One of a kind feel to it This hotel has a high-end, one-of-a-kind feel to it. The spacious and new 120-year-old building has been wonderfully restored. The antique timber beams and planks have been lovingly restored in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The stadium, riverfront, shops, and parks are all within convenient walking distance.

Stunning hotel! The lobby is stunning! Customer service was excellent during the entire stay. They offered an upgrade to The Marble Suite which was gorgeous and plenty of space - separate living and sleeping rooms, large soaking tub, huge shower. The corner unit allowed an abundance of natural light to shine in bathroom and all living areas. Beautiful huge windows with awesome downtown city views. Front desk staff was always accommodating and would promptly respond with any request, no questions asked. Would def recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway or family weekend.
