Not a good night’s sleep This is the worst Red Roof we have stayed in, and I like the brand. The room looked clean but there was a roach in the bathroom when we entered and on the wall when we got up in the morning. The bed had one of the creakiest, hardest mattresses I’ve ever slept on, and it made getting a good night’s sleep difficult. The bathroom was beyond remodeling, had been patched up all over. The tub creaked and the faucet was loose. The best things about this place were the hot water and TV, and friendly staff.

It's the little things that make or break a place. Red Roof Inns are risky. Some are nice and then there are the others. I have stayed in this one on 3 or more occasions. Either it has been better in the past or it has always been in a declining state of acceptability and I just never noticed it before. The check-in was ok, the desk clerk was nice, but I was given the key to a room that didn't have one sheet of toilet paper in it. An empty cardboard tube was on the holder, no spare roll. Nothing. I asked for and received a different room. I'm sure it's tough making a buck in the motel franchise business, but keeping shabby elements such as bathroom doors that are deteriorating at the bottom, bed spreads with burn holes, toilet seats that aren't sized to the toilet bowls, etc. is no way to save money. Eventually people will stop coming back. When I'm headed south next time, I believe I'll just continue on to the Red Roof on the north end of Chattanooga. To be clear, this place is not awful. It's not nearly as bad as other Red Roofs in which I've stayed, it's just not at the $67 + taxes ($77 and change) per night level. It feels to me to be a $49.99 a night place.

Near the HIghway I picked it because it was the least expensive of the hotels. Not that it is cheap. It is on the high side of mid range. I went in and asked for a downstairs room. I should have asked for a room on the other side of the hotel. It was very noisy due to the highway. But the room was nice and I just turned on the fan to block out as much of the noise as possible and I was just tired enough, that I slept very well. I was pleased with the extra plugs in the room. Generally that is an issue. Most older hotels don't have enough for all the devices we carry.

The place is past it's sell by date Last hotel room available for many miles. There were patches of ice on I-24, it was getting dark, so I had to take a chance. I’ve stayed in Red Roof Inns before and they were always decent. This place is very old and run down. On the plus side, I had a mini fridge and microwave, the water was hot, and the bed was comfy. There’s in room coffee but you wouldn’t want to use the coffee maker. The water reservoir appears to have never been cleaned and housekeeping left me the used grounds in the machine from the last brave soul who used it. The TP is the cheapest one ply you can find. You would never use it in your guest bath. No facial tissues although there’s a place in the bathroom counter to mount a box. The shower/tub is missing the stopper, so it’s only a shower. The tub had lots of black mildew or mold that needs attention badly. A used bar of soap was left in the shower. The wall mounted shampoo dispenser had been used and there was shampoo dribbled on the tub underneath it. All this adds up to the shower was not cleaned after the last guest. I found the room using the Red Roof website. Mistake. There are much better prices on the aftermarket seller’s websites, so I overpaid.
