Beautiful B&B The hosts were amazing, food was delicious, rooms were adorable, but my favorite part was their amazing garden! Such a relaxing atmosphere!! The town is a bit out of the way but I would still highly recommend, worth the trip.

Top notch Bed & Breakfast Much better than I expected. The rooms are very nice and the property and grounds were a real treat. Martha and "Frenchie" were a lot of fun. Great hosts. Great conversation. Breakfeast was top notch. Simple but very tasty and great presentation. If you go, check out the local theater right around the corner. The town of Monticello is very old and beautiful. Nice shops.

Delightful treasure My husband and I celebrated our 49th anniversary here by having an amazing meal. Martha and Jean are a delightful couple who have had very interesting lives. They entertained us with some charming stories (ask them how they met) but were careful to not to be too present. After our meal, they showed us the suites, both complete and under renovation. Jean has a marvelous eye for interest and beauty. As we left, they gave us an anniversary card and a chocolate rose, a sweet gesture. Monticello is blessed to have Martha and Jean and their Cottage in the neighborhood.

A wonderful escape. From the moment you walk up to the Cottage B&B you get a feeling that this is a home that is truly loved. They have done an amazing job of turning a simple little cottage into an amazing experience. From the walls around the courtyard, to the details in the interior decorating, the artistic flare that Martha and Jean have put into their home is nothing short of amazing. The brilliance of these creative touches are only matched by the warmth of their hospitality. My wife and I could not have felt more relaxed and at home if we were staying with family. From our amazing room, to the local restaurant they recommended, to a five star breakfast the next morning with wonderful company, everything was well beyond our expectations. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

If You Liked "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"... Many, many statues, and stucco work, and so much visual stimulation might bring you straight to heaven. We found it a wee bit overwhelming. But the breakfast was delicious and the hosts so happy to be doing this work. The large, back garden, though a bit run down for our tastes, is spacious and the bird songs were lovely. They are in the middle of adding on another room, so building supplies and detritus were in abundance. You may want to wait until that room is finished before you stay there, as our room on the right from the dining room, had a bathtub/shower door and a screen door on the outside entrance that came off the tracks. The toilet wobbled when we sat down. But the worst was the small refrigerator that kept waking us up throughout the night with its humming and its shuddering as it turned off. We should have just unplugged it. HOWEVER, the couple aims to please and we want them to succeed. So, wait for a few more months and then check it out! Also, I'd suggest you make a reservation ahead of time for their dinner. I bet it would be fabulous!
