Staff felt like old friends! The staff were amazing and so friendly. They were so kind to our three boys. Room was comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was ample and they had a variety of snacks and drinks at the front desk for purchase for our road trip ahead (including cracker jacks!) Will stay here again on our next trip through!

Do Not Stay at This Hotel! This was not a pleasant experience for many reasons. We stayed twice, the second being on our return trip. They were explicited asked to reserve a handicap room, which they did not have when we arrived. They put us in a room that was pet friendly. We were tired and put up with it although we would never reserve such a room. When we left, I spoke to the manager to express our dissatisfaction, and he assurred us that he would have an appropriate room on our return. He did not. He mumbled excuses about someone who extended their stay and a room that hadn't been cleaned. The room was not very clean. The carpet was dirty. He gave us a $10 discount from our bill. We would far rather have wanted a clean room. This HI Express appears to be a former Motel 6 that was poorly refurbished. The bathroom was small. The hot water was tepid. Breakfast was sub par. The manager had a pet cat whose feeding bowl was at the entrance to the inn! We will never make the mistake of staying at this property again. In fact, we will have to carefully consider if we will ever book an HI Express again. The standards have definitely slipped!

Beware of poor management This hotel has average rooms with comfortable beds, a good breakfast, but maintenance is poor. Our bathroom door dragged and wouldn’t close without force, and our TV was broken! (Only sound on a totally black screen)! The night-clerk could not fix the TV and said no other rooms were available. We told him we expected money off our bill. When the bill came, we were charged full standard price for the room. We complained to the desk clerk and asked to speak to the manager. The manager would not come out of his office to speak to us. Instead he made the desk clerk come back to tell us, “The manager says he can do nothing about this.” Make sure you look your room over BEFORE accepting it as there are numerous problems and the management will neither fix the problem nor offer monitor compensation for it.

Nice Stay Impromptu stay on the way from Minnesota to Philadelphia. My wife and I found the place very clean and modern. Plenty of outlets to charge up our devices. Great lighting for reading in bed (a pet peeve of mine) and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was much more than the standard Continental breakfast and had many selections. Definitely recommend.

Disgusting, Filthy, Smelly Hotel! Filthy, Dirty, Smelly Hotel! I don’t know how this hotel keeps its IHG status! I Booked a double queen sofa room and paid $250. I opened my hotel room door, and the worst smell hit me! I called the front desk, and the associate came to my room. The associate agreed my room smelt disgusting and had a can of Lysol I could spray to mask the odor! I wanted a new room, and the associate claimed she couldn’t give me a new room. I asked to speak with the manager. She tried calling the manager no answer. Then the associate said the manager was sleeping at the hotel. I asked her to wake the manager up to fix the problem, and she claimed he wouldn’t answer her knocks and never answered when she tried to call him. I had to wait until 11 pm to speak with the manager face to face! Then I had a chance to talk with the manager and tell him my room smelled like a disgusting wet dog! He lied and told me dogs weren’t allowed on the second floor and I must be mistaken about the smell! I said well, I’m in that room right now with a dog. The manager backtracked quickly because I caught him lying and said he'd have housekeeping clean my room the next day. Our room had dirty underwear behind the sofa! The shower curtain is broken and held together with masking tape. The microwave shelf was broken and tilted down, ready to fall. The shower curtain was stained and covered in black fingerprints. There was dust covering all the baseboards, headboards, and tables! There is dust and dirt all over the bathroom floor! The window on the second story can completely open with no safety latch! The hallways are dark to hide the dingy, dirty, stained carpets! This hotel is a hard pass for me going forward. If I was paying 80-100 dollars a night, all these issues might be understandable, but at 250 dollars, I don’t think so! OSHA needs to shut this place down or force them to fix it!
