Wonderful Stay My husband and I stopped for one night here on the first night of a two-week cross-country road trip. We hadn't planned where to stay and had never been in this part of the state before. As my husband drove, I was on my phone searching for a place to stop for the night as we had been in the car all day and were really tired. Holiday Inns are usually not our first choice, but we would recommend this one and would stay there again if we return to the area. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. He greeted us warmly as we arrived and told us a lot about the area since we were newcomers. Our room was surprisingly large, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was just as it should be with lots of tasty, fresh selections and great coffee. I think this hotel would not only be a good choice for a one-night stop like we had but also for a longer stay in the area.

Dirty and not well maintained. The decor was fairly new, but not well maintained. The bathroom sink was partially clogged, the soap dispenser was broken, and some other minor issues. The breakfast area was dirty (in cleaned spills on the floor and some of the guest seats). My biggest complaint was the bathroom: the floor had not been cleaned since at least the last guest: it was covered in long black hair which was, certainly not mine. I have stayed in third world hotels that were cleaner and better kept than this one. I would advise you to look elsewhere for accommodations in Mountain Home.

Great property, really great value. For the price I paid, I thought I got an exceptional deal. Their breakfast each morning had a good variety of choices. There were pastries, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs, muffins, cereal. I guess it's weird to list the food at the top of the list, but I found it to be "above and beyond" what a lot of basic motel breakfasts are. My room was right on the ground floor, around the bend when you walk in (120, I believe). So pretty close to the door, and the main atrium in the morning. NO NOISE. I could not hear people outside the room, I couldn't hear people in the hallway. I slept great though the night, the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms are a good size, though I'd like a louder bathroom vent fan for when I poop. (Yeah, it's another hotel without a loud vent fan, you'll have to turn the water on if you have a guest that you don't want to hear your bodily functions in the bathroom). I read a lot of reviews before flying to Arkansas (specifically, staying in Mountain Home) and after a lot of debate I settled on this one because it seemed to be the only one with good reviews about cleanliness. Other hotels seemed to have bed bugs or roaches, and I was NOT wanting to come home with bed bugs. This hotel was everything I could have hoped for and more. They were very accommodating with me. I was scheduled to check in on a Friday, but because Little Rock airport was so far away and our flight was delayed, we stayed with a friend Friday night (missing my first night in the hotel). They actually modified my reservation and didn't charge me for that night. ANY other hotel would have charged me for the night. This place didn't. Then when I came in the morning, expecting to check in "since I already had the room from the day prior" that's when they informed me they hadn't charged me for the day prior, the room wasn't ready, but to give them 30 minutes and it'd be ready. I came back 30 minutes later and the room was not only ready but smelled wonderfully clean. Really great experience. We did a lot in Arkansas, and at the end of the night we wanted to have a relaxing, quiet, comfortable place to sleep. This place was all of that and more. And they have a snack/beverage refrigerator upfront, which was a special bonus for me, because I was able to grab my morning energy drink on my way out the door and have it charged to my room. If management sees this, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

Shockingly Filthy My experience with Holiday Inn has been generally favorable, but for this property, I must warn others to stay away. The room was filthy. It had not been cleaned after the previous guests. There were half-consumed drinks in one cabinet, used latex gloves in another. There were several old shopping bags in a dresser drawer. The bedside drawer had debris of some sort in it. The bathroom shower was a horror - mildew, dirty. We told the front desk who said, "Well, I'll put a note for housekeeping." Additionally, there were not housekeeping services available over the weekend. Utterly appalling and unacceptable in the current climate.

Disappointing and nothing special for the price I usually never leave a review, but this hotel is screaming for someone to say something...bad. I stayed 154 nights in a hotel last year, all over the country, and this hotel is the highest priced ($128 before taxes) for a Holiday Inn Express. There was no discount given for being a Senior Citizen (I’m 61) and/or being a U.S. Air Force veteran. Room was drab and showing its wear. Dirt in grout in the bathroom and stains on the paint. Electrical sockets in lamp didn’t work. This hotel is way past due for an upgrade or being downgraded to a name change. Perhaps a Red Roof Inn or (Not) a Quality Inn. Keep looking and don’t waste your time. P.S. I am a spire member with Holiday Inn and booked this on-line with their app. I have a profile with my preferences on file for the front desk clerk to try to meet them. I always want to be on the top floor, since you can’t hear someone walking around in their room above you (like now) if there is no one above you. The front desk clerk assigned me to the first floor, with no apologies. It was late, I am tired, so I didn’t challenge it. Disappointed.
