Ona Mar Menor Golf & Spa

Very very sad, that is all I say to describe loveholidays.com My friend and I booked this hotel as on paper it looked like just what we wanted for a 5 night, in a 5 star stay! We also booked for the Evening Meal! It was ok but only 8/9 dishes to choose from! So not something that you want to eat, especially if you are vegetarian the same meal each night is worse than you go and book an all inclusive holiday. I did absolutely everything in my power as I typically could have done. I am registered disabled and my friend is showing noticeable signs of dementia. So, after we ate our evening meal on our first night. We headed of to reception to see where the entertainment was taking place. We were told that they do not have entertainment!! As you can appreciate and understand that it would not be for keep my safety and having to keep my friend's safely too. So with that after having another repeat meal for our 5 nights and so on, there was We booked a private return that was sold to us by loveholidays.com. So uk, after having emails to and from myself. Loveholidays.com has called me a liar! Insulting, sarcastic, belittling and absolutely a total disgrace!!! Their Customers Service is NONE. Loveholidays.com refused to admit that As our Contract Provider, this is because we took the Contract out with loveholidays.com. Under the 'CONSUMER PROTECTION for UNFAIR TRADING regulations 2008!!!! It reads' to protect the consumers unfair or misleading spelling practices '. Loveholidays.com replies were a complete joke!! Telling me that it was up to me to contact the Hilton!! If they had contacted the Hilton and us, prior to our departure we would have been able to rebook!!! Our private transport did not turn up either and yet again I have been called a liar loveholidays.com Customer Service agents. I received a copy of the transfer GPS, as loveholidays.com said that they had proof the driver did turn up!!! All I can say to this.... It was a piece of paper that the Hilton Hotel sent me on the 8th November!!!! This piece of paper, was totally unable to read with the naked eye!!! Yet again being called a liar by several of loveholidays.com Customer Service!!! The holiday manager was fabulous amazing and he actually saw that my friend and I were waiting at 9.00am for our transport to Murcia Airport at 9.30am!!! The hotel manager, managed to get us a taxi at 11.20am!!! Our flight home was at 12.15pm!! My point with this issue is that 'We would have missed our flight home' if I was not registered disabled!! Do not book your private transfer with Jumbo Transfers, as unavailable over priced and they DO NOT UP!!! Lastly I would just like for 'MY Voice Needs to be heard!!! Totally lack of empathy, emotion, and compassion, when I mentioned this to loveholidays.com DID NOT 1 member of staff acknowledged. Totally embarrassed for loveholidays.com and the way they are happy to take there customers hard earned money and for the disgusting emails they think that they are far more superior to the customers they have joined the travel industry as there chosen choice. If you do not want to come back from your holiday feeling distressed then please book through another Service Provider and NOT through loveholidays.com.

not a five star hotel for like a three We stayed at this hotel when it was owned by Inter Continental 15 years ago and it was a five star hotel superb! Unfortunately over time its got tatty and needs a complete overhaul. Our room was overlooking the pool with a balcony and essentially its exactly the same as before but nothing has been upgraded. The shower flooded the bathroom as it didn't run away as the drain was blocked the ceiling fan didn't work and the aircon was so noisy you couldn't have it on at night. The best thing was the evening meal which was fantastic not so for the breakfast. the three coffee machines (i hate those things!) were all broken with error messages showing on all. The poor girls ((only 2 members of staff) couldn't fix them. The food at breakfast was adequate the only fresh fruit that was cut up was water melon slices no other fruit there also wasnt any natural yoghurt - I could go on and on. I am disappointed as my memory of this hotel has now been erased with this visit. The staff were lovely though they just need more of them!

Definitely not a five star. The shower was lethal too We stayed one night in a room described as a junior suite. The shower did not drain at all and the floor was so slippery the only way to shower in any degree of safety was to put the bath mat in to stand on and then hold the hand of my husband to step across to reach it. Outside, the jacuzzi not only did not work but the 'safety rail' was held on by half a rusty screw. Tiles around the pool were cracked and broken. We filled in a formal complaint sheet the next morning. The hotel is nowhere near a five star. We have stayed at many five star hotels in several countries and this doesn't even come close.

Relaxing Hotel Beautiful, quiet hotel. Clean, tidy with great rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was great apart from the coffee machines that were hit and miss. Not enough staff so had to keep asking for cutlery, milk, crockery and glasses. I felt quite sorry that they were run off their feet, especially when a group of 24 golfers from the apartments turned up on the breakfast terrace and took over the place with their golf equipment, bad language and manners to match. Pool area was great and relaxing. Little bit disappointed to see non-residents taking over on a couple of days, again bad manners and little respect for others ....leaving litter and glassware in the area! Alvaro in the clubhouse was an absolute star!!! His attentiveness, manners and fantastic service made our holiday. Lunch was delicious there, every day. We ate in the Italian most nights. The food was great but service was a bit slow at times, only marred on one evening with the attitude of a more mature waiter. That said Juan was really efficient. All in all a lovely week in the sun in a great place. Will certainly return.

Nice hotel, quiet location We booked direct with the hotel..upon arrival we were given a free upgrade to a room overlooking the pool which was spacious & clean. Reception staff were very efficient and friendly. Food in the bar was good, though service was a little slow due to the number of golfers arriving from the golf course and that the hotel was preparing for a Captains dinner that evening. Breakfast was adequate/average, the egg chef was not happy to do poached eggs ( lots of rolling of eyes)!! All in all we enjoyed the two nights and would probably book again if we re in the area.
