Our adventure to Myrtle Beach A week ago we decided on vacationing at the Caravelle Resort in Myrtle Beach and are so happy that we did! After driving 15 hours from Boston, MA. We were Greeted by the most friendly and accommodating check-in staff which started our stay off on the right foot. Then we got to iur beautiful room with a walkout balcony to the front lawn/Beach. Absolutely stunning/relaxing view - just what you'd want in a vacation! Just being at the resort alone was enough for us, from the food options to the bar only a few steps away! However, we decided to get adventurous during our stay and utilize the resort discount card handed to us at check-in. This card allowed incredible savings on select activities available by vacations made easy. We were most interested in the Aquarium, the SkyWheel, and the Sunset Dolphin Cruise all within 30 minutes from where we were staying! There are numerous areas to walk around and shop, eat, go on rides. You can even feed the tarpon and the ducks by the aquarium which provided entertainment for all. I'd have to say, aside from our room/resort our favorite part was the boardwalk only 6 minutes away. I can't wait to go back to Carae and highly recommend this stay whether you're solo, in a couple or have kids. Something for everyone!

Great Place to Stay! My husband and I have stayed at the Caravelle & St.Clement’s for a number of years and they never disappoint us. The check-in process is pleasant when you have someone like Travis who is very nice and knowledgeable to help you. The rooms have been updated for the most part and if there is an issue with anything, they have been very accommodating with our requests. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of amenities to keep you busy or just relax if you want. We definitely recommend this hotel (s) and will continue to stay here as well.

NASTY TOILET AT THE CARAVELLE RESORT I'll start by saying that this is the first negative review I've ever posted about a hotel, but I just can't let this go. I have stayed at The Caravelle Resort before, and it was a great experience. However, this time, when I visited (April 25-27, 2025), it was awful!!! When I booked the room, I was fine with a basic room as long as it was clean. Well, I went to the bathroom once we arrived, and the toilet didn't flush right. I went to the office and informed the manager about the problem. She said she was going to send maintenance to check on it. He came while my husband was in the room and told my husband that the water pressure was very low, which was causing the problem. He did nothing to correct the problem. I went back to talk to the manager at the front desk, and she said that there were no other rooms available for me to move to and that the problem would improve once everything settled down. WELL, IT DIDN'T, AND THE TOILET STOPPED FLUSHING COMPLETELY ( I AM SURE THAT YOU COULD IMAGINE WHAT THAT WAS LIKE) !!!!!!!!! I COULDN'T GET ANYWHERE WITH THESE PEOPLE, AND MY MINI VACATION WAS PRACTICALLY RUINED. I was distraught because these places should make sure that their facilities are functioning correctly before renting them out. This experience has just ruined my taste for Myrtle Beach, and I will never go back to The Caravelle Resort again!!!

Not as pictured. Exhausting stay. Before I start I would like to say the girl at the counter was very polite and very professional. The view was nice. Day 1. The room was nothing as showed in the pictures or described over the phone. I called the hotel directly to make the reservation after alot of research. I also asked if the room was as pictured and was told yes. We chose this hotel because it was next to where our daughter was staying for a school event and the reviews were better for this hotel than hers and a better price. We were so disappointed. As entering the room and it not looking as described. I inspected the room as I always do entering any location we stay at. I discovered stains on the comforter, that appeared to be blood, I could be wrong. Hair was on the bed sheets. When going into the bathroom I found body hair in the tub and other hair on the door. As well as stains that appeared to match the comforter stains on the paintings and wall next to the bed and in the bathroom. It was also extremely warm, the Air was on but didnt work well. The sheets, I stripped the bed and went across the street to the main office to get new. I explained why, but had to do this because there was no housekeeping they left at 3pm and we arrived shortly after that. There is also NO housekeeping unless you request it in their time frame. As I understood it. I had no energy to argue just did it myself. Also we had to go across the street to the reception office daily to get clean towels, and could not leave them in the hall, basically parking garage area, becase it could be a hazard and if we did we would be fined, so I left them in the room in the closet. I ended up at a store to purchase a fan, blankets and cleaning supplies to clean and sanitize everything. And was asked by a clerk where we were staying, he informed me to make sure we checked everything because apparently they are known for bugs, we did and did not see anything. As a matter of fact the mattress looked really new. Doing all this after paying over $600 and traveling 11 hours and spending money I didn't want to, was extremely frustrating. Day 2 After returning from our full day of events to clean up before bed. We kept hearing a noise that sounded like an ice maker in a fridge, at first, then it got really loud I opened the freezer and it was there and really, really loud. I called down around 9pm to the front desk and he heard it through the phone and said he would send maintenance up. We waited an hour and no one showed, I called back down and he said, he never came up, I said no, he said oh well, theyare gone for the day. I can send them tomorrow when it is convenient for you. The sound calmed down by the next evening, still no clue what it was. The rest of the week was uneventful except for having to go across the street for towels daily and toliet paper. One shampoo and one small bar soap is all that is given. They have a gift shop but it was only open early hours. So definitely bring those items. And security was yelling at kids in the pool. Which was right outside our window. Also I feel like better lighting in the hallways is definitely needed for safety alone. It is extremely dark.

Security run a muck and front desk above and beyond Zee was fantastic very kind, knowledgeable patient and efficient. Was chatting and checking in all at the same time. We didn't even realize. The security guard was awful. He demanded wristband everytime he went in or out. Did nothing about Drunks. Nothing about weed or cigarettes everywhere. Nothing about fireworks. If you where white and over 25 and drunk he was chatty. Otherwise he was creepy and disgusting.
