Do not stay here Not sure where to start, from the moment I tried to use my key card to get into my room. I started to have issues. The key card didn’t work, come to find out the door wasn’t closed all the way because the hinges are sagging, and the striker plate was bent. It took a half hour to relieve that issue. The room is long and has a unique layout where you enter through a bedroom containing two beds in a closet that is impossible to use. The lighting in the room and a hole is very dim and everything is outdated. There were four of us in the room three stayed in the room with the two beds in our youngest daughter who is 14 stayed in the other room that had a Murphy bed and a couch. The bathroom is pretty tiny. The sink actually has the biggest area, and the shower and toilet chair, a tiny room, which is hard to maneuver in. We had an issue trying to take a shower with low water pressure, figured out a workaround to get the pressure to engage the shower properly. We stayed in the room from August 30 till July 8 and would kill at least 5 to 10 bugs a day . I called down on our second day to ask if we can be moved to another room, but was told that they were booked, but they could send up somebody to spray for the Palmetto bugs. I looked up Palmetto bugs and they’re basically cockroaches. My first night here I eat at the restaurant on site , I had a grilled chicken sandwich and nachos, the grilled chicken sandwich was dry and you get better nachos from Taco Bell. The lazy river and pools were always cloudy , and there was garbage through out the poll deck area, beer cans, juice, boxes, plastic bags, pizza boxes, etc.. The hallways were always dirty. The ice machines didn’t work and there was garbage all over the parking garages. We came with a group of 40 people, for a softball tournament, it was on a list of places that we had to stay at, I can’t believe that the tournament director would have this place on the list, I’ll be making a phone call to the people of this property, into the tournament director, and encourage the other families to post their experiences and social media.

Very disappointing, poor management, filthy pools Very disappointed. Multi-family vacation (my husband and me, our 2 adult daughters and their husbands, 6 grand kids; 8yr old, 7yr old, 4 yr old twins, 3yr old, & 1yr old). Stayed in Tower 3, room 745 (1K, whirlpool suite), and 1239 (2 BR: 1K, 2Q suite). Both had full kitchen and living room areas. Rm 745 had mold/dirt on bathroom floor and whirlpool not working. Rm 1239 had soaking wet carpet in 2nd BR from leaking pipes in water tank closet. Also had water dripping from bathroom ceiling vent in 2nd BR which fell on toilet and soaked bathroom floor. Towel warmer in master BR did not work. Towel warmer in 2nd BR so hot that it burned my grandchild (also burned me when I touch it to see what she was crying about). Tub in 2nd BR takes 30-60min to drain after child takes bath. Ceiling wet and peeling in corner of 2nd bedroom. Sliding barn doors on both bathrooms fell off track multiple times. Had to leave doors open to keep children from being injured from weight of falling doors. These doors are so heavy that only a grown man could lift and put back in place. Multiple calls and messages for help went unanswered. No bath towel exchange...had to go floor to floor to look for an unattended housekeeping cart so we could grab some clean towels. (Housekeeper would not give us the towels because they were for the room that she was cleaning.) Kitchen minimally equipped...only one pan for cooking (eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc), no whisk, no blender, no mixer, only a 2 slice toaster for 8 people, only 1 knife for slicing, no steak knives, no extra silverware, plates, or bowls- just 8 for 8 person condo (rm 1239). Ice machine on 12th floor not working either. Found a staffer in garage and asked him to contact someone for repairs. Whirlpool was repaired on day 3 of vacation and a construction fan was set up in BR 2 to dry the wet carpet...never fixed and continued to leak entire stay. Let me say again... I called multiple phone numbers for Crown Reef multiple times and never got an answer or call back. Front desk is across street and no one is able to help you!! Pool water, including lazy river and hot tubs, is incredibly dirty/cloudy. Trash (cups, popcorn, etc) in water. "Ring around the tub" on walls of pools and hot tubs. Four year old grandson got diarrhea and I suspect it was from the pool water. Stopped going to pools and just went to beach. Be aware...check your receipt at check out... we were double charged for some items, over charged for other items, and charged for somethings we did not even get. Stood in line for >30min both at check-in and check-out and had to get a manager to correct the bill. I hope the people who are spending thousands of dollars to join the Crown Reef Vacation Club know what they are getting into!!
