Nice hotel in a great location Overall a good hotel. Could use so.e upgrades amd renovations but otherwise very nice and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very nice with exceptio of no yogurt and only having apples for fruit. TV has no guide and when I asked the desk for a replacement remote I was told they didn't have one and couldn't do anything to fix the issue

Rooms need renovating This aging facility would benefit from room renovations. I don't mind that the furniture shows some wear and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The threadbare carpet with ragged or missing patches made me wish I'd packed my slippers. The beds are new, but too firm for my comfort. I did appreciate the A/C that did an excellent job cooling the room. All in all, I'll probably pay a little more on my next visit for a facility that's been better maintained.

Disgusting Booked here for 4 day's. Don't stay here a total disgusting disgrace. No pool because they were resurfacing it . They painted the pool, and the small was unbearable. I had to block the back door open because we couldn't breath because we were getting sick.. Just stupid because the place was booked for the air show. The shower had mold . Closet doors were off the track and broken, the carpet was dirty and worn out ., No washer and dryer, tiolet seat was broken, and more . Never heard anything from the manager, other people were complaining but nothing. Do not stop or go here a total disaster.

Be Aware of Thief I stayed in the Comfort Suites at 1006 Old Cherry Point Rd, New Bern, NC, over the Christmas holidays. After I checked out I realized that I left my leather jacket in the closet. I called the hotel and told the front desk that I left an item in the room and I was on my way back to pick it up. I was told that the room was cleaned and the person that cleaned the room was gone and they would call me the next day, it would probably placed in the lost and found. No one called me back, so I call the hotel and I was told that no items were turned in. I called back the next day and asked to speak to the manager. I was transferred to the manager but she didn't pickup the phone, so I left a voice message. She never called me back. I called her several times, she never picked. I was able to speak to the front desk and I was told that they talked to the person that cleaned the room and she said that she didn't find the jacket. I opened a case with corporate and they told me that they would contact the hotel. I waited for two months and never heard from the hotel and they closed my case. Please be aware, that if you stay here, some of your items may end of missing.

Nice beginning-downhill from there A little off the beaten path, but Google Maps got us there, be aware, this is much road construction near this hotel, so traffic can be dicey. Started off great, a friendly desk person checked us in a few minutes early, even though a huge sign said they would not do this...we got to the room, and it was nicely furnished, with a good bathroom...we found out quickly that looks were deceiving...the phone to the room did not work, tried calling the desk, she could not hear me but I could hear her...never worked the 2 days we stayed. The LG tv has a sensor on a cord that must be put near the tv, so the remote can work...we did not know that, never seen that before. Someone had put it behind the fridge area, so we could not get the remote to work. The desk person came down, found it behind the furniture, then it worked properly... At check in they give you a card that I will attach to this review, that allows you to request towels, bath tissue, etc...you just need to put in on the door before 11 am, and they were to have it at the desk by 5pm. We filled ours out, placed it on the door at 930 am, and noticed when we went out at 230pm, that it was still on the door...when we got back that night around 945pm, the card was still on our door, so my wife went to the desk to pick up our stuff, however, there was no one to be found, nor a message saying where the desk person was located...about 15 minutes later, I went down to check, still no one...I banged on the office door, shouted for anyone to hear, even set off the alarm in the snack area on purpose to get someone's attention, but no one ever came...I then saw the name of the manager on duty, her initials are R.E. I gave up after another 15 minutes of no help. If this is a service offered by this hotel, why is no one at the front desk after 945pm? We are very disappointed in this hotel, and I would hesitate greatly to stay there again...I guess service doesn't mean anything any longer, especially at this hotel. I would recommend finding another place to stay, unless you want to deal with the same hassles we did...
