It's OK When I search for a hotel, I am looking for a few things. 1. Quiet. When I go to bed at night, I want to sleep and I want it quiet. 2. Clean. I am OCD when it comes to my own home being cleaned. I expect nothing less when I have to pay for it. 3. Price. I am there to bathe and sleep. Shouldn't cost that much. First. this is like an apartment. Livingroom, kitchen with eating area, bedroom and bathroom. 1. Quiet. We knew to stay away from Bourbon Street. We are not late partiers by any means and knew to find somewhere away from the area. This hotel is on Frenchmen. It is away from the Quarter but it has it's own area of bars and restaurants. If we sat in the living area of our room, it was noticeably noisy. But when we were in the bedroom area, it was surprisingly quiet. So 4 stars on quiet. 2. Clean. Sorry. This gets only 1 star. The floors were noticeably dirty. Food and dirt on the floor of the kitchen and bedroom area. Top of the refrigerator had a thick layer of dust as did the bedside tables, lamps and top of dresser. The top of the beside tables and kitchen table had sticky spots so it obviously wasn't wiped down. So you can imagine what the light switches and channel changers were like. (I will let you know that whenever and wherever I travel I always carry Clorox wipes and wipe things down, even if they appear clean). Then I checked out the bathroom. While it appeared clean, it wasn't until I pulled back the shower curtain when I began to be concerned. There were large black specks of "something" all over the shower floor. then there was a large clump of long, dark hair on the floor of the shower. Then when I closed the shower curtain, I looked on the inside and there was hair all over it. I need to say that when we came in initially, I took off my shoes. Well while getting ready to go out, I went to put on my shoes and the bottoms of my feet were black. We complained to the front desk and showed her a picture of my feet. She apologized but went on to say that it was probably due to the humidity they have. Well humidity doesn't account for all the dirt and dust everywhere. It was obvious that the room had not been dusted for some time. When we got back later that evening, you could smell that they had been in to clean because it smelled like bleach. But they didn't sweep first so the mopping only streaked the dirt everywhere. 3. Price. I'll give this 4 stars. The price is pretty reasonable for what all you get. Like I said, it was like an apartment so it was nice to have the extra room to move around. We didn't cook any of our meals but you could with the full kitchen. They also have a pool and hot tub. Don't do it. When we checked it out, the bottom of the pool was deteriorating. Large areas of concrete missing at the bottom . And with the "cleanliness" of our room, there was no way I was getting in a hot tub.

Loud loud loud!!! Due to the location and proximity to the bars and clubs, it’s incredibly noisy. My room was on the front of the property and impossible to sleep until the bars/clubs closed! The area is terrific, but the noise is a dealbreaker. The room was big, but dirty.

Great stay in New Orleans Amazing stay with amazing service!! Everyone was extremely helpful during the check in process, and they checked in on us multiple times. The suite was very clean and had a full kitchen. Location is close enough to walk to anywhere in the French Quarter you want to go.

Shocking !! Book at your peril !! We booked for 2 nights for September 2022 as part of an American road trip. The booking was made in November 2021 where as per the booking conditions a non-refundable deposit was taken off our credit card, 2 weeks later I received an email saying that my card was not valid so I duly updated my card details at their request, imagine my shock when 2 payments were then taken. Eventually 1 payment was refunded. Now 3 months later I’ve just received an email saying that they cancelled my reservation back in December!!! How long does it take to send a message??? They clearly miss-advertised the rooms too cheaply and now will not honour the bookings made at that price. Ascend Hotels are rip off merchants as previous reviewers have stated, wish I had listened to them now as we have a big gap now in our travel plans.
