EXCELLENT HOTEL - OUR FIRST CHOICE This hotel has been and will continue to be our FIRST CHOICE in New Orleans! Due to countless trips to NOLA since 2008, our family has experienced a variety of hotels in the city. The Hampton Inn/Garden District is tops in our book. Why? It's location (location, location), staff, amenities, and most of all the price. It is in the Garden District/Uptown near Tulane and Loyola Universities, there are fantastic restaurants in the area, and it is just a "street car away" from the French Quarters. The staff is consistently outstanding when it comes to customer service, plus the rooms are very clean and quiet. We recently reserved a 2 night stay for a room with views of St Charles. We enjoyed the room so much that we asked for a 3rd night. Although the hotel was full, we were able to stay in the SAME room for an additional night because of Ieashia Bagwell's assistance at the front desk. (THANK YOU AGAIN, IEASHIA; WE ARE EVER SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP!) Throughout our stay, Ieashia and ALL the staff were very kind, courteous, and professional to ensure our every need was met. Last but not least, the rates are some of the best in the city. You can't find a better deal.

2 night stay in Nola I saw the Location of this Hotel and I knew it was a good one. So here is my Review : Location is Not walking distance to the french quarters and that is okay if the weather is cool when you go I suggest taking the trolly car which runs right out front the hotel. the neighborhood is safe. there is security at night . A gated parking lot . Parking is 20 bucks , self parking . this is a small and charming hotel , The room is not the newest... But I thought is was well kept and very clean. the Breakfast seemed fair. But it's so many delicious breakfast spots close by and Audubon Park is a must visit right up the street. To me this area is old style New Orleans charm with the Historic houses lined up the street . I would defiantly stay here again when I return to this city.

Great location and lovely staff We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in May 24. The room was comfortable and probably the first time when dressing table, light, chair and plug was all in the same area, as it should be. Comfortable beds and pillows. Buffet breakfast included, with hot and cold choices, constantly topped up by the lovely, cheerful Guatamolan kitchen waiter. Breakfast could have been extended to 10 o’clock weekdays, as well as weekends. People are on holiday, after all. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Special praises to the lovely, cheerful receptionist, Ieashia Bagwell. Super location with streetcar right outside hotel to get into the French District, a lovely, short journey to start the day and to come back from the hubbub at the end of the day.

Incredible Disappointing Recently stayed at this Hampton Inn after reading reviews. Unfortunately the customer service was sub par. Had to make multiple phone calls over multiple days for very simple things such as having the shampoo filled and toilet unclogged. Returned to room at 5pm after being gone all day to find that housekeeping had not even been to the room - beds unmade, no clean towels, etc. In addition, after contacting the hotel months ago to get on their pre-Mardi Gras reservation list and being told that we were all set and would receive a follow-up email, we were told months later (after not booking elsewhere) that our dates would not be honored as there was a 5-day minimum. When we even agreed to extend our planned 4-night stay by one night, we were then told our dates did not match their 5-night minimum. I called Hilton Rewards and they called the manager who refused to budge. Absolutely ridiculously. We are Hilton Reward members, but are seriously reconsidering these properties now.

It’s fine book whatever room you want, just not the one with the pull out couch bed. It SUCKS. Currently trying to get some rest on a mattress that’s folding into itself like a martini glass. Great pillows tho. Front desk was super helpful and super sweet.
