Hotel Le Marais

Hotel le marais The hotel is in a great location if you are there for Fun, but I would not recommend it for a family vacation. My husband and I would definetly go back and book this hotel if were were doing a couples trip or I would for a Girls trip.

Friendly staff and beautiful hotel, but it definitely needs some updating... We booked the hotel at the last minute and were excited that they had an opening. Upon arrival, we were let into the building by security because it was so late. We liked that because it helped us to feel safe as this hotel is in the heart of a lot of activity. The front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming as was the security person. I requested an extra blanket and although I am sure staffing was very low at the late hour, they happily accommodated me. The hotel was clean, but the lighting wasn't great in the halls and in the rooms, doing my makeup and getting dressed would have been much easier with more light. The room itself looked just like the pictures, so I was happy with that, The TVs were old though, and didn't have HD, they are probably at the point that they should be replaced. My room also had several items in disrepair, the mirror on the wall in the bathroom, the shelf in the bathroom, and most importantly, the lock on my door was coming unscrewed from the wall. That made me very nervous, but I'd brought along my own hotel lock that I secured it with. The bar is also not open and apparently hasn't been for a long time, I would have liked to know that in advance, we probably would have chosen another place. But overall, we were happy and I would definitely stay here again, however, a few small improvements would really make this hotel even better.

Lovely Home-Away-from-Home in the French Quarter We enjoyed so much about our stay at the Hotel Le Marais: the room was comfortable and attractive, the pool and area were a little spot of private luxury, the staff were helpful and friendly.

Perfect Location and Affordable This hotel was the perfect spot for our New Orleans trip. It really is just steps away from Bourbon St, and had us in the center of all the fun. The area was so walkable that we spent our first day just exploring by foot, even in the July heat! All the staff were very friendly to us, especially at check-in. Made us feel welcome and comfortable right away. The hotel and the room itself were very clean all throughout. They lock the doors at 11pm every night, but have a very attentive door-person to let you in if you decide to go out late like we did. We unfortunately didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked clean and well-kept. The pool area isn’t huge, but it’s a really lovely outdoor courtyard/lounge type of space. Overall we’d definitely come back!
