Lovely hotel with fantastic staff Upon check in we were greeted by Randolph on reception who was really accommodating, explaining about the hotel. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed so comfortable. The toiletries provided smell so good too. Housekeeping came every day (shoutout in particular to Teresa) and was superb. The doormen, Romeo & Sammy, we’re also terrific. Would definitely recommend staying here despite some of the previous negative reviews published; they proved unfounded from our experience.

Nice hotel great location Just spent a week with my spouse at Fifty Sonesta. Location was perfect, close subways, midtown area so easy to get uptown or down. Large rooms and nice helpful staff. Would definitely stay again while in New York.

Great location and solid hotel Overall very please. Unfortunately when we checked in the system was down so we had to walk around for 2.5 hours before we could get into room but that happens. There are two reasons it was not 5 star for me. First, they give you a $15 per day credit that you can use to buy things in their convenience area, but unfortunately almost all items were sold out for the entire weekend. The second challenge was the front desk staff did not seem knowledgeable about the area. When I asked for a sports bar within walking distance, they could not make any recommendations. Overall a pleasant experience though!

Fairly good value but be sure to include mandatory « facility fee » in the room cost Fairly good value but beware old fashioned grey wall decor, black plastic bag covering some vent outlet in room, $89 facility fee which is basically simply an add on to the room cost which you need to factor in. Very friendly doorman, convenient mid town east location.

Weekend in New York with family. The size of the room was amazing. Balcony wrapped around with two doors! Huge tiled shower in large bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Accommodating staff.Location was perfect...Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, St Patrick's Csthedral were all within walking distance.
