Great location and comfy beds. Don’t waste your time on the breakfast Our room on level 5 was spacious with a comfy bed- we slept well. Location is great, a 10-15 min walk to Times Square. Facilities were clean if a little dated. Only 2 small lifts, one of which broke during our stay so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs or wait for the lift. The breakfast is a waste of time. Tiny buffet area with enough seating for maybe 25-30 people maximum. The greed exhibited by some people is horrendous. I’m sure some people treated the ‘free’ breakfast as their main meal of the day. They grabbed mountains of food meaning the buffet regularly runs out and the staff make little effort to restock it. The hotel seemed to run on a skeleton staff with hardly anyone around. The breakfast area has lengthy queues and very little choice as it isn’t replenished. I would stay again but budget to eat breakfast out of the hotel unless you’re prepared to start queuing around 5.30-6am to stake a claim on a table and get a chance at the hot food!

Cruise Terminal Hotel Stayed at this hotel on 2 separate occasions for one night both pre and post going on a cruise. Great location if you are setting sail from Manhattan’s cruise terminal, as it’s just 1.5 blocks from pier 88 and a 5 minute walk. It’s also just a 10 minute walk to Time Square so very good location. Had some issues with the hotel announcing that they were cancelling my initial reservation as they said they had tried to take payment and it had declined yet there was no record of this with the bank and I had booked a rate where payment was on arrival. So frustratingly I rebooked and just told them to charge my card for both bookings straight away so they didn’t cancel it as I was travelling from the UK or I’d be at Sea and didn’t want any drama after a long journey! This tactic of trying to cancel reservation’s does seem to be a trend with hotels in New York as this happened to me several times and each time there was no record of transactions attempting to be processed on my card and at all times the rate was not pre paid, so just be aware. Also got a phone call in the middle of the night during my second stay from someone claiming to be at reception and wanting my credit card claiming I hadn’t left a card number for incidentals and threatening to kick me out of the hotel. I came to from being half asleep, hung up and spoke to reception who confirmed it wasn’t them and they were lone working so it was clearly someone trying to fraud me, so be aware! Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean but very dated, it was like a time warp and visiting the 70’s, and breakfast…. WOW…. Paper plates and cutlery, barely any seats and utter chaos with very poor variety compared to the UK HIEX’s! In the end I just gave up and went to a really nice little bakery around the corner. Would I rush back here, probably not, as there’s plenty of choice around New York, but if I were going on another cruise out of the Manhattan Terminal, I’d struggle to find another IHG hotel with such close proximity.

BARELY OKAY If you just need a room with a bed, this room will suffice. However, the rooms are extremely small, and not especially clean (we found hairs and the walls/ceilings have stains). In our room, the bathroom sink did not drain as well and it wasn't fixed during our stay. There is a lot of noise from the street below--understandable in the city that never sleeps, but the hallways are quite noisy as well. Breakfast is extremely packed so either get there early or don't plan on being able to eat or find a place to sit. Overall, I will absolutely not stay here again as it wasn't nice and the price isn't good enough to justify its shortcomings.

Very good hotel. Highly recommended. Good value for money hotel and only 10-15 minutes' walk from Times Square. Nice and clean rooms in addition to a standard breakfast. Staff are welcoming and professional. We highly recommend this hotel, and we will surely get back. Thank you.

Don't waste your time here!!! My first time leaving a TripAdvisor review and I needed to point out what an absolute disaster this hotel is. $315/night and no staff to assist with luggage (I had to lug my family's baggage from the taxi to the room). The room was a "ground level" room, but was actually below grade. Dark and drab and very depressing to stay in. The front desk agent was very nonchalant about changing our room and completely locked customer service skills. This will be my first and last time here...I suggest staying elsewhere.
