The worst I arrived at 2:30pm, and there was 1 person checking people in. There was a long line. Check-in was at 4 pm and there was an unconscionable early check in fee of $75. They checked my luggage and they said they’d text me when the room was ready. They didn’t. When I returned at 4:30 there was another long line to get my key. Half of the elevators were out of order. The room was small and dark. There were only 3 lights. The water pressure in the shower was negligible. There was only one chair in the room which was uncomfortable. There was no Half and Half, only powdered, chemical-laden creamer to go with the coffee, so that was also a big disappointment. There was what looked like a holder for a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, but there was no such mirror. The hair dryer only worked in the bedroom and the cord barely reached to the only mirror. I would never stay here again. Barbara Roberts, MD

Small Accomodations, but ultimately great in every respect This place is super central to the Subway, and is a small older hotel that is not super roomy, but is the vibe of the city and not your big box hotel feel. So that's good. The croissants downstairs were the bomb. Friendly and helpful staff - and for the price we were able to really see the city from a central spot. The bed/pillows were super super comfortable as well. Not a lot of room to move around, but we were really only sleeping there anyway. Lastly, my larger computer does not fit in the safe, but oh well:)

An excellent boutique hotel A great hotel experience. Good location, well-maintained room, nice coffee shop on site, and the price was commensurate with New York rates. I was only there for a short one-night stay during a conference, but would definitely go back. Central Park is nearby.

Fabulous! Todd took care of us every night of our 6 night stay with great service for drinks and food. A wonderful experience. Thank you Todd and all the team at the bar. We also liked the morning coffee team. Thank you all. We will be back! We have stayed at all the hotels in the Upper West Side. Our first time here. The best!

Graduation Stay I was in New York for my son's graduation and wanted to stay in the upper west side. The hotel was in an excellent location, close to shops and cafes. The room was clean and stylish. It was very convenient to have a restaurant in the hotel where I enjoyed breakfast and dinner.
