Great No Frills Hotel This is my third time staying at Pod 51. The staff are wonderful from checking in, housekeeping and the lady at the Pod Cafe. The location is great, few blocks to Times Square and Central Park and the subway station is a block up the street. The hotel rooms are small and they have no frills but it’s all I needed, a bed and a shower. We stayed in the “Veranda Pod” which had a nice little balcony to enjoy. The room was clean and cozy but the only downside was the noisy AC, even when turned off it’s very loud and found it difficult to sleep. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Not a Great Experience FYI: Some of these rooms have communal bathrooms. Make sure to read the fine print. Our room had bugs (see picture). The place was dingy and dark. I would not have felt comfortable leaving my room at night, so thank goodness I didn't need to use the restroom in the middle of the night. The price wasn't bad, but for me, I would have happily paid more to stay somewhere that had its own bathroom. Like I said, I didn't know I would have to share with strangers until I got there. Normally, when you stay at a hotel, they tell you a bit about it so that you can take advantage of the amenities. We didn't get that, and if the cool picture of the outdoor space actually existed, we didn't know where it was. The communal bathrooms didn't have paper towels. My room window was open and the room was muggy and uncomfortable when we arrived after a long day of travel. I would not stay again.

Wonderful experience with family We stayed for 5 nights in studio pod room . Its big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. There is no in-house restaurant but nearby hotels many options to eat. Near 5th avenue and only 20 minutes walking to times square.Special thanks to Mr Ravi Tiwary who managed our schedule and made necessary arrangements as per our convenience. Definitely we will visit again, recommend for solo and family travellers.

A really nice, clean, hotel and good value for money We stayed in a veranda room. The room was big (double bed and a single). The veranda was bigger than expected and you could see Radio City down the street. It had 2 TV's so each bed could see one. The bathroom was a little difficult to have privacy as the same sliding door covers the shower and toilet so if you are having a shower and want to get out and dry without the family seeing you naked its a little challenge (but totally doable and space saving so it makes sense). The room was cleaned daily and there wasn't a mark on the walls. It was about 10 mins from Central Park. I've stayed at some nice hotels in NYC, including the Waldorf, but for value for money I'd totally stay here again. Staff were really nice too.

Great place well located and value I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this property. I didn’t want to invest in fancy hotel as I knew I would be out and about all day so POD 51 was a perfect fit! I felt welcomed I felt heard and although the rooms are very small I didn’t feel it was an issue. For one night of my stay I was in a room with shared bath and again I was surprised .. very clean private (which was my concern ) and there was always one available. Overall good value and I loved the concept of this property! Well done __
