Give your reception staff chairs! Staying at Pod51, nice hotel with efficient, friendly, and incredibly helpful staff. However, I was genuinely shocked to see that the reception staff don’t have chairs or anywhere to sit during their long shifts. It’s hard to ignore the irony when many guests here work for or are visiting the United Nations just down the street. Yet no one seems to have raised concerns about the working conditions of the people who serve them daily. A simple chair is a matter of basic human dignity. Do better, Pod51.

Noisy environment The noise at 5:30 am was overwhelming. We did not get to sleep well at all. We were up by 5 - 5:30 am everyday with doors slamming and pigeons landing on air conditioners. I will not stay here again. The staff was friendly and our friends stayed on higher floors without trouble.

Excellent Experience I stayed here for the entire month of April while interviewing in the city. I don’t have a single complaint. The place is spotless, every time you look up someone is cleaning something. The outdoor spaces are really nice and the location is great. You’ll meet lots of Europeans too. I was thinking that this is a good hotel for parents to book stayed for their children, as it seemed safe with really nice people. Excellent experience!

Home in New York City The hotel is clean and welcoming. It is close to the heart of New York. I recommend that visitors add POD hotels to their list of hospitality. The beds, pillows, and room light are visible and quiet. Hope you will be able to stay in this wonderful hotel.

Very welcoming to a visitor from Canada Staff were very welcoming to me coming down from Canada. Got to check in early, and even got a room upgrade. Great location on 51st Street, near landmarks like Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal, and Times Square makes it an ideal base for exploring New York City. Rooms are a bit small, but who spends much time in their room when you are visiting Manhattan?
