Very good. Very good choice in Manhattan. Door man Joe was phenomenal. Front desk receptionist Ronald also excellent. Rooms are not recently refurbished but a very good bed, excellent linens and beautiful marble bathroom with separate tub. This is a classic, old, beautiful hotel and reminded me of our recent stay at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. FYI: no coffee machine in room by default. No restaurant open but quick and good room service. Not the best option for $900.00 a night in NYC but definitely a safe, lovely hotel.

Very nice hotel We have stayed here in pre-covid days and we always enjoy it. This time we were only there for a 3-night stay. Antonia welcomed us as we arrived - he makes a great first impression - friendly and engaging. As always the room was very nice and clean and the staff was more than helpful in providing extras such as a coffee-maker in the room and extra towels. In-room dining was very good and the order-takers were friendly and accurate. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed about was that the bar was closed for remodeling but there was no mention of that when I made the reservation.

Loved it. Can’t wait to come back. Wonderful stay. Room overlooking Central Park (1108) was gorgeous. Staff was impeccable. All calls to front desk promptly answered (that’s been more and more rare in hotels as of late). PERFECT location. Wife and I ran in Central Park every morning. Always happy to return after an evening out. Can’t wait to come back. Never stating anywhere else in NYC.

Disappointed as Ritz-Carlton, but still great property The hotel located in front of central park was just average old luxury hotel in NYC. I like to leave comments with pros and cons. I hope this help. Pros: Location: Just in front of central park Gym: Very nice gym. Technogym on site, and the gym have drinks like water or energy drinks to drink, and also have towels and headsets to use. The size was small but very well thought. Service: I enjoyed mystique service. I had couple times that I never experienced mystique service and this was nearly first time that I experienced properly. Cons: View: I do not expect like all room having great central park view but I think in like property cost starting near $1000 cannot have room with wall view. Room: It cost near $1000, I think I can ask more than hotels costing around $500. But I think I did not experience that much difference. The room was having boring design, it never felt like property priced as $1000. I would not mention specific hotel names but I think this hotel is not on same level with hotels under competition. Restaurants: It was closed... I think even restaurants cost extra from room charge, it is still sales point of hotel. Final words; Software was great but many hardware was disappointing. It would be likely to be hard to recommend this hotel to others but recommend other same level hotels near by.

So much potential…but could be better My husband and I just checked out and I have to say I was disappointed. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and our first COVID trip. At check-in, the front desk member seemed distracted and/or disinterested. They upgraded us to a partial park view (based on my Bonvoy Gold status) on a low floor, but the “upgraded” room was an ADA room with peeling paint on the ceiling above the shower. Furthermore, the shower could not be operated without water pouring onto the slippery floor which created a hazard. In all likelihood, I should have requested another room, but was tired and didn’t have the energy to complain. Also, we ordered a new telephone remote, the gentleman came into the room without knocking to deliver it. He mentioned that he thought we were out, but I still think he should have knocked before entering. I mentioned some of these details when I checked out, but front desk seemed a little flustered and/or disinterested. On the upside, the concierge, doormen and room service was fabulous. The hotel itself is beautiful. I’d totally be willing to try the Ritz Central Park again, and hope for a better experience. Maybe they were just having an off weekend? It’ll be even better when they re-open the bar, restaurant and spa.
