Needs updating and dark rooms The rooms desperately need to be updated. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of the rooms online or the name of the room. A premiere room which we thought was an upgrade is an inner room with a view of a wall. Normally , you would think that premiere indicates a step up from standard. There is no standard room. If you want any light in your room from the window instead of a dark room, you must specifically get a city view room. We literally faced a wall that was like a foot away from our window. Our room was dark, outdated, and ugly. The towels are thin and the sheets smell like bleach. I couldn’t sleep because the bleach smell was so strong that I had to put a T-shirt on the pillow to lessen the smell. There were so many people complaining about the rooms - they didn’t do anything to help. Staff was not helpful. The only positive thing is the location.

Disappointing experience Very disappointed in this hotel. Photos of rooms looked warm and inviting and classic New York which I love. Paid for Premier room with city view and ended up in a room facing wall of windows on other side of hotel. If you leaned waaay to the right you could catch a glimpse of the city. Another Yelp review said all of the rooms ending in 10 or 19 were partial views...my room was 1910! (Unfortunately read that review after I was there.) PARTIAL VIEW SHOULD BE SPECIFIED IN BOOKING PROCESS WITH A LOWER RATE!!!!!! After 7 different taxes and fees added, our dark and gloomy room averaged up to $475 per night. I must say the room was very nice and clean, comfortable beds and a little larger than most rooms in NYC. I will never stay here again, since I feel I was taken advantage of and that is not a feeling I enjoy. Such a shame because the location is excellent.

Awesome stay. Again, the Warwick did not disappoint! The front desk staff, and bag check employees were really kind and personable. Maid service was helpful to resupply us with missing wash cloths and coffee ,and condiments. They had failed to replenish the room with these items.

Frustrated Family in a Four Star hotel Family of five. Booked two (2) King Suite hotel rooms. Requested weeks in advance to please ensure soda beds be made up as we will need for our children. Told this afternoon that there were no sheets for either sofa bed and they’d send us up sheets, but we would have to make the beds ourselves. As my husband and I were getting into our king bed after a long first day, past midnight, we pulled back the sheets and realized the sheets were filthy and had not been changed from the previous occupant. Called the front desk. They sent up sheets for us to strip and make our bed. The quality of the sheets did not match the thread count of the dirty ones we just removed, and were clearly more to the caliber of their “sofa bed quality” sheets. Unacceptable that I’m staying in a 4-star hotel, paying for two suites and just made 3 of my own beds today. The fact the bed linens weren’t changed in our room from the previous guest is simply beyond words.

Great Location in a Classic Hotel This 100-year old hotel is one of NY's classics. The staff are friendly. The property is clean. Juts understand that your room is not going to be modern--it will be updated, but not modern. The AC works great. The bed is comfortable. The linens crisp. The bathroom small but functional. The gym--well, it's a gym. Location is a real plus for this property, with many, many restaurants nearby and you are a short walk from Central Park, Times Square, or most of the theaters.
